aritai is an English-speaking independent VTuber who debuted on Twitch in May 2022. A cheetah who escaped the zoo and now works in a bookstore, she focuses on gaming, especially action games like Elden Ring and Dark Souls. She streams on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, with “strim strum” as her weekly title, and calls her viewers areaders.

Personality
aritai is cheerful and energetic, and enjoys having engaging conversations with her chat. While she is generally warm and friendly, she can be very assertive and is not afraid to talk back. Since English is not her first language, she often finds herself in funny situations because she misinterprets words or struggles with proper pronunciation.
In addition to being a VTuber herself, she is also a big fan of other VTubers, such as Nimi Nightmare and Todoroki Hajime.
Appearance
ari has blue eyes (orange in the original design), blonde hair, and several cheetah-inspired features, such as animal ears, a tail and face marks. She does not have human ears. Her current design, which is inspired by the Frutiger Aero design trend, features an oversized, off-shoulder jacket over a blue top and an animated fish tank skirt.
Background
Prior to her debut, ari was occasionally streaming Final Fantasy XIV and other games to her friends. As a fan of Kizuna Ai and through her friends, she was exposed to VTubing in general and became a fan of various VTubers in hololive. She was convinced to start streaming as a VTuber by a friend and created her own PNGtuber model, which she ultimately never ended up using.

- When starting out, ari had great difficulty pronouncing the English "r" sound, especially in words such as "squirrel" and "barrel".
- Despite being a feline VTuber, she is scared of cats.
- She is obsessed with Coke Zero and dislikes drinking plain water.
- Growing up, she almost exclusively played free-to-play MMORPGs. Later on, she began playing League of Legends and started skipping school because of it.
- She has almost 500 days of in-game playtime in Final Fantasy XIV.
- The name "aritai" comes from a story in which a child pointed at ari in a zoo and claimed that she's "a real tiger" (a-ri-tai).
- Her name is written in lowercase because "all letters are equally important (and a lowercase 'a' looks friendlier)".

2022
On 21 May, ari debuted with a self-made VRoid model. It featured an outfit consisting of a white blouse with a black ribbon, and an olive-colored sunflower skirt. Because of technical limitations, the tail was constructed using a single hair strand, which made it very pointy, earning it the nickname "Minecraft tail."
On 12 September, she reached 555 followers on Twitch.
2023
On 12 January, ari started her first Elden Ring playthrough, which was her first time playing a soulslike game. While she had no interest in playing the game initially, her friend convinced her by gifting 5 subs on her Twitch channel. It ended up becoming her most-streamed game on Twitch to this day.
On 26 January, she reached 1,000 followers on Twitch.
From 1 February to 23 February, she hosted her first Birthday Bash, a daily streaming marathon ending with a Birthday celebration stream.
On 20 March, she revealed her first Live2D model on Twitter, which she later debuted on 20 September.
2024
From 1 February to 23 February, ari hosted her second Birthday Bash.
She was nominated in the Small VTuber Awards in the "Most Likely to Get Twitch Partner" category.
On 28 September, she debuted a gremlin model with a story-based stream called "Tales from the Lab". It explains that the gremlin was created by a laser malfunction due to it reflecting off her "giant forehead".
2025
On 5 January, ari reached 3,000 followers on Twitch.
On 22 February, she debuted her new outfit during her birthday celebration stream.
From 21 August to 3 September, she hosted a summer donothon to pay off her student debt. As a reward, she debuted her second gremlin model featuring the new outfit on 26 August.
