A former STALKER and leader of a small group, after an incident caused the loss of his team, Artyom gave up on making excursions for artifacts into the deeper parts of the Zone. He settled down in an abandoned bunker along the edge of the Zone, restoring it to working order, and running it like a waystation of sorts, though the infrequent nature of anyone passing it by left him with much time on his hands doing a lot of nothing. Thus, the broadcasting began.
