Hoshino Laplace

Laplace was blessed by the goddess of the stars when she was born into this world. With her close connection to the goddess, Asteria Cebel. She is said to be considered a demigod rather than a divine blessing.

When she was a child, Laplace was loved by many, and she loved helping others who are in need. She loved being needed, she loved being admired and looked up to. However, during that time her powers slowly grew stronger and manifested, it got harder to control during her adolescence and caused an accident, an explosion that hurt many others. Since then, society grew wary and concerned of her, even though they still appreciate all the help she gave,it no longer felt genuine, the society made sure to not be as close to her as before. Laplace felt sad that the people no longer admire her as much as they used to and wish she could do something that could get that admiration back. This was when the goddess herself, Asteria spoke to her through a divine revelation, in order to guide her and help her control her powers better. It took a while for Laplace to accept the goddess herself and learned the story behind her powers, but eventually she settled down.

As Laplace grew into adulthood, she felt that the society she was with could no longer give her the admiration and love she wanted to fuel her desires. She then left to seek ways of gaining that admiration and found this group of people who were basically mercenaries that would protect and serve any civilization for a price and decided to give that a shot.

With hundreds of missions on her backlog, their team became one of the elites in the galaxy that any person would hire as they were one of the best people to hire. Laplace was drowned in money and was in love with the capitalist nature of earning and spending on anything she wants. After years of missions and quests, the team finally could not stand her spending sprees and uncontrollable urges to buy anything that ended up always cluttering their spaceship with junk. The team had a unanimous agreement to kick her off the team due to her spending habits and left her.

With no idea what to do and how to change, she wanders around a city she has no idea of, and was hoping that Asteria would bless her with another revelation, but it was for naught. Asteria does not appear when it comes to life-changing experiences, as she believed that anybody should choose their own path for their own future. She continues wandering around the city, and finds a brochure by a group called Hoshizora, trying to hire talents to stream and provide entertainment. With her impulsive behavior, she jumps right for it, thinking it may be a way for her to fix her spending habits.
