EnergyBandanaIt all starts when his mother was murdered. No one knows what happened. His father woke up next to a bloody body but… he didn’t feel a thing nor hear anything from that night. Bobbit was close with his mother. He looked a lot like her. Maybe that’s why his father could never look him in the eyes after the murder. He was 17 when that happened. He’s 23 now. The kingdom crumbled after his mother’s death. The planet was at war and his people were panicking. His mother was a lover of foxes. The tanuki were not.
The bombs captured the attention of his father. They both run outside and see the village being bombed. There are people running, panicking, injured, dead… Bobbit’s father runs towards the village but.. Something catches Bobbit’s eye. It was a fox.
Bobbit’s confused. There weren’t any foxes in the village after his mother died. The tanuki killed them all. But seeing as there is one in front of him, and a bomb going for it, he sprints over to it. He jumps in front of the fox, blocking it from the blast as his body erupts in pain.
When Bobbit opens his eyes, he’s not in his kingdom. Nor a place near it. He looks around his surroundings and… he doesn’t see the little fox. He quickly gets up and looks closer. The area is white. A voidless and endless stretching white. He covers his face and his hands go to his hair. That’s when he feels something.
Upon closer inspection, they’re… ears? He’s confused. He digs out his pocket knife and pointed it up at his hair… He’s has fox ears!? Then there is suddenly a loud noise.
“Hello child. Do you know where you are?” A giant Kitsune looks at Bobbit.
“Whhaatt the fuuuuuck?” Bobbit’s response was bland.
“Watch your language, Child. You are in the realm of Kitsunes’. You protected a small fox and risked your life. That, My Child, is a worthy challenge.” The giant Kitsune looks at Bobbit with an expression of endearment.
“Well… I can’t just ignore a helpless fox.” He scratches his head. His new fox ears twitching at the sense.
“I will repay you. With the immortality of a Kitsune. But, you will have to look over the Kitsune’s and protect them. You will be able to control space and time. But, do not take advantage of those powers.”
Bobbit looks at the Kitsune with wide eyes. He’s speechless, he doesn’t know what to say. “Thank you.”
“Also, I will tell your mother I seen you. She knew you’d be great. I shall be in touch with you soon, Child.”
There’s a bright light and Bobbit’s flashed into the universe before he could even ask about his mother. His mind is racing and… he has so many questions. He looks around his surroundings and notices he’s on a different planet. In the distance, he see’s his own planet… exploding…
With a desperate cry, he reaches for it but… he knows he’d never be able to save them. He sits there, his heartbreaking and tears streaming down his face. He snifflesand wipes his face. A determined expression on his face as he makes a promise to himself.
A promise to keep people safe.
