Kat Planetshine is an interdimensional traveler from the planet Staauria. She has been assigned to Earth as a Keeper to not only protect its life, but also to help preserve and experience the planets sparkle as a part of Project Photon.

Staaurians give off a natural glow as they store and use light energies in their everyday lives. The expression of that light, which can come in many different forms, colors, etc, can be used for a multitude of purposes and is referred to as sparkle. Earthians may understand sparkle in a similar light to the magic described in their fairy tales.

Kat is fascinated by the amazing art Earthians produce—manga, video games, paintings, music, dance, etc—and wants to make sure to protect this sparkle.

Kat prefers to not stand on her feet instead opting to float. She is stationed in her space ship outside of Earth where she produces her own art and manages the Earthian Sparkle Archive. She also has a Staaurian produced mech for defensive purposes. Her interdimensional abilities not only allow her to travel between universes in the real world, but also in universes created in stories and art. This ability is part of the reason she was chosen to oversee Earth as the equivalent to Sparkle is believed to be Earthian produced arts.



==About the Mascot, The Cosmic Sparkle Slime==


These little babies are cat shaped slime creatures. They travel through space and absorb its properties. This absorption process gives them their body's color so they can be any color that is found in space! They have little wings, but their actual utility is questionable. Observation of the wings being restricted doesn’t seem to stop the Cosmic Sparkle Slimes ability to naturally float, but they nonetheless seem to love their wings and take great pride in them! After they are done absorbing space into their bodies, they float about looking for places to domesticate themselves into. Once they find a home, they like to adorn themselves with a special accessory! They seem to have taken a strong liking to Kat’s space ship and she has many that live with her.

Before the creature was discovered, the bright light they can produced was thought to be that of starlight. Although that has long been debunked, they are still lovingly called Starlights by the people of Stauuria.

==About the Planet Staauria==

Staauria looks similar to the planet Saturn as it also has rings, but instead of one, Staauria has two. The twin rings are named Inoria and Torion after gods of their mythos. They are composed of ice, dust and different types of rocks that react in a very special way with the atmosphere to look like they are composed of only light when viewing the planet from the vacuum of space. From the planets surface however, these rings look like twin auroras dancing across the sky. The planet is more similar to earth though overall with land mass and water. Staauria also has two moons–Lux Thelia and Elex Foroh–named after two legendary heroes.
