Kumorin Ota

Kumorin Ota is a small weather faerie with blue-green wings and a cloud hat that floats behind her head. Her blonde hair is shoulder length with bangs, a cowlick and an amber gem at the top of her head. She has green eyes and thick eyebrows. Her main 1.0 outfit is a blue long-sleeve crop top and skirt combo, with honey dripping from the chest. She has a choker with a bee charm, and optional honey jewelry (glasses and earrings).

Kumorin has multiple models that she can switch between to match the mood of the game she plays or event that she's playing. Models can also be switched between using channel points if viewers want a different look.

Kumorin's 2.0 model features a more bright yellow-orange ensemble with a blue crop top, long flowy sleeves, and a removeable cropped yellow shirt. Her cowlick was changed to be larger, and her gem now sits without a headband. The skirt has been changed to resemble a lily (yuri in Japanese, referencing her favourite flowers), and changed to be yellow. Her wings have changed to be more Faerie-like, and her boots have changed to be go-go style with sun and moon imagery floating around it. Underneath the skirt, Kumorin has bee-striped panties attached to garters on her legs.

Kumorin's 2.0 model has multiple costumes, including her "Rainy-Day Idol" costume. This costume takes inspiration from the hydrangea flower, which blooms during rainy season in Japan. The costume features a maid-style idol costume in light blue, pink, and white. With the addition of this costume, Kumorin can sport longer hair as well as a ponytail with a rainbow ribbon inside, for after the rain comes a rainbow.

Kumorin's Sunburst Racing Queen outfit is based on the popular "Racing Queens" in Drag Racing. The colour palette features a more neon design that focuses on reds, cyans, and white. Her crop top has a sun shaped cutout in the center, showing cleavage and her small mole on the right breast with a gem in the center of the collar.

The mini skirt features the same, shiny vinyl material along side two more gems. The skirt has a long, flowing tail that shimmers as if it's holographic. Her platform toeless boots feature a sun shaped accessory in gold, and are coloured with a rainbow. Sunburst Kumorin has a full body tan, with a pattern of "HONEY HONEY" on her left calf. Both her fingernails and toenails are painted cyan.

As for accessories, both of her arms and thighs have golden ribbons. Her right wrist features a cloud bracelet with a small neon charm. With her signature ahoge, Kumorin has fashioned her hair with two buns which are secured with petal-looking elastics. Most notably, she can toggle a red and white flag with an alternate arm.

This outfit is themed with black, silver, and grey coloring. She has black highlights in her hair and the end of her pig tails. A safety pin in her right ear and zipper with two earrings in her left ear. Black jacket with buckles, straps, and a 'giant' zipper. The jacket is able to be toggled on and off revealing a black top with mesh and a belt. She has a zipper belt with black shorts and mesh cape around her thighs. On her right leg, she has 2 black belts forming an 'X' with a silver belt underneath. Her left leg has a mesh and silver legging. On both calves, she has black coverings with silver zippers and grey belts with 4 chains around the lower legs. Her platformer boots, underneath, are black with grey belts and toes.

The Animal Crossing model is illustrated and rigged by Pandreem. The Animal Crossing model has 3 outfits: 1.0 model inspired, Comfy Sweater, and Happy Home Designer with a toggleable fishing rod to show Kumorin's love for fishing. Currently, viewers can redeem the Animal Crossing model via channel points, but has removed the optional redeems for the alternate outfits.

Kumorin Ota has an alternate model designed like the popular plush brand "Nesoberi". Debuting on 27 November 2022, "The Neso" is a mischievous gremlin model that can be switched to and from via Channel Points. The Nesoberi model was illustrated and rigged by Kaya.

On 23 May 2025, Kumorin Ota debuted an upgraded 2.0 Nesoberi model, also by Kaya.

Inspired by the game Hollow Knight: Silksong.

To celebrate her 4 year streaming anniversary, she debuted her 3D Live model, which includes her 2.0 default outfit and her Rainy Day Idol outfit. The 3D model is based on the original designs by DJ Kona_. The model was brought to life by Mikantine.

On 1 August, only two weeks after starting streaming, she achieved Twitch Affiliate status.

In November, she began living and working in Japan.

On 11 January, she debuted her Animal Crossing model, illustrated and rigged by Pandreem.

On 27 November, she debuted the Nesoberi model, dubbed "The Neso." This mischievous gremlin model can be switched to and from with her other models via Channel Points. It is illustrated and rigged by Kaya.

On 17 July, Kumorin made her first merchandise launch, "Kumorin's Theoretical Plushie," a plush that was inspired by her Nesoberi model. This stock was very limited and completely sold out.

On 8 March, she debuted her Rainy Idol outfit and released new merch.

On April Fools Day, Kumorin held an hour long stream where the Nesoberi only repeated "The sun is gone." This is often referenced, and multiple emotes were made to reference the event.

On 21 July, Kumorin Ota revealed her Sunburst Racing Queen model. She also made a major merch release, including: NesoRin 2, a second version of "Kumorin's Theoretical Plushie" based on the 2.0 outfit with a sticker sheet of various Kumorin and Bee emojis; a Kumo Knight Deskmat with a Grubbie Kumo acrylic stand; KumorinOta Official Trading Cards featuring art from KumorinOta and Kazuma-san; and a dakimakura with SFW and NSFW sides.

On 10 November, Kumorin's Theoretical Plushie was released.

On 28 November, KumorinOta's long awaited 500,000 Sun Drop "Surprise Me" redeem was claimed by deMOTHerate. After much anticipation and waiting, Kumorin was finally able to reveal the chat mascot, DayBee.

On 23 May, Kumorin Ota debuted the upgraded 2.0 Nesoberi Model, also by Kaya.

On 26 July, Kumorin Ota celebrated her four year streaming anniversary with the debut of her 3D Live model. It features her 2.0 default outfit and Rainy Day Idol outfit, based on the original designs by DJ Kona_ and built by Mikantine. She celebrated the event by performing an idol concert and sang songs that meant the most to her throughout her life. The event additionally credited ShadyDolls for scripting and voice, Motster for editing, and Shouri Kazuma for filming, voice, and hole digging. She also revealed the Daybee Escape Magnetic Plushie.

On 8 March, she premiered a birthday video titled "Kumorin Beeday Bash Direct 2026." It announced various merchandise, including Kumorin Cards Pack #3: Dawn of the Neko, Kumorin Gacha keychains (with a surprise gacha), Neso Steed pack including a Nesorin 2.0 and DayBee plushie bundle (with 2 sticker sheets included), and the "My Silver Lining" card holder (sized for Pokémon cards).

On 15 June, she held an 5th anniversary news event called Kumorin Direct. It featured a sneak peak of her upcoming song "Go! Kumo! Go!" The event was hosted by ShadyDolls, and featured video by Kazuma_Shouri, and motm0t_, with guest voices by deMOTHerate, Kazama_Shouri, and ShadyDolls.

On 25 July, Kumorin Ota celebrated her 5th annual streaming anniversary. She revealed her Misty Haze outfit, and debuted her first single, Silver Lining (including both an English version and Japanese version). Lyrics were provided by herself and Reikosaka, who also produced the music, with cover art by DJ Kona. The music video was cred by Emi with animation by achziil. Her music is part of an ongoing personal album project, for which she will be working with Jemimemu.

• DayBee is Kumorin Ota's chat mascot.
• DayBee's design is a honey drop covering a tiny cloud with bee wings. Topped with a white daisy and green leaf on its forehead, DayBee quickly became a welcomed addition to the stream's assets.
• DayBee is a Text-to-Speech channel point redeem for chat to create all manners of fun and chaos.
• It was first revealed on 28 November 2024, after user deMOTHerate unlocked it by making the a 500,000 Twitch channel point redeem "Surprise Me."
• DayBee design is credited to Koko and Waffobaffo. He appears in various merch products.

• Her name is a play on words from the Japanese word "Kumori", which means "cloudy".
• If her name is shown in Japanese order, "Ota Kumorin", it looks like "Otaku Morin"・オタク茂林, meaning "a dense forest of otaku (geeks)", referencing her deep love of anime and Japanese idols.
• She uses kanji for her last name, Ota / 太田, which can mean "thick fields." Many have taken this to reference the "huge tracts of land" joke from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
