Appearance

Miya Galactic has pink skin, long wiggly pointed ears, and a gap between her front teeth. She has medium length dark green hair, partially coiled up into two spiral buns, it's wavy and a bit messy. Her eyes are a greyish gold and green. Miya wears a classic mecha pilot suit in red, with pointed white shoulders and a large zip down the front which she wears partially opened, revealing a dark skin-tight suit beneath. Miya has attached a stylized cat charm to her zip pull, fashioned after her cat and co-pilot, Nekopilot.

Background

Miya has a technical background in game development and animation, which led her to create (and begin life as) her own 3D model. The process officially began in late 2020 and over the course of two years her model, overlays, emotes, and promotional videos were completed.

Miya Galactic's first stream was on 11 December 2022 on Twitch, after an introductory slideshow she played Katamari Damacy REROLL.

Mascot and fans

  • Miya's followers are known as "Starlads." They are strange anthropomorphic star creatures, that are both lively and helpful!
  • The Starlads chose their fan name via a Twitter Poll, the most cursed option amongst them was, "Miyanderthals". (We avoided a horrible fate)
  • Starlads are known to enjoy a nice cup of Milo.

Trivia

  • On 8 January 2023, Miya streamed an in-depth analysis of her model, going behind the scenes and sharing helpful resources for others interested in 3D VTuber creation and the work that goes into it.
  • On 24 March 2024, Miya revealed her self-made character mod for video game, Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. Featuring a new design and outfit (with 4 different colour options) to fit in seamlessly with the setting, full custom voice lines (over 50!) and 4 graffiti sprays. Afterwards she made it available to download for free on modding website Game Banana.

Lore

Alien Mecha Pilot and Creative Genius.
