Personality

Despite claiming to be an "evil and mean" mafia boss, Luca is a sweet and energetic person who is sometimes compared to a golden retriever. Although he has a mischievous streak that often leads to him teasing others or causing mayhem in games, Luca's trollish antics are noted by his peers to be completely devoid of malice.

He is known for his love of using the word "POG" and frequent use of the phrase "deez nuts". He can also be surprisingly innocent and dense from time to time; notably, he often parrots things without thinking too much about them, sometimes even saying innuendos or double entendres without realizing their meaning.

He has said on one of his streams that he has no problems making friends with people, and can immediately walk up to a stranger and start small talk. According to Nina Kosaka, Luca is the most extroverted member of NIJISANJI EN.

Appearance

Luca has flowing blonde hair with a side ponytail underneath a white hat with a black band. His eyes are a light purple and he wears a pinstripe suit.

Background

On 18 June 2021, NIJISANJI EN opened two sets of auditions, one of which was specifically for male Livers. The male-specific auditions lasted until 1 August.

On 17 December 2021, NIJISANJI EN announced the upcoming debut of its fourth wave "Luxiem", accompanied by a teaser featuring the new Livers' designs and voices.

Luca's YouTube channel was created on 1 December 2021, and his Twitter account also created in the same month. His first tweet was made on 17 December 2021.

Debut

Luxiem made their debuts on 20 December 2021 (JST) as part of a special debut program hosted on the NIJISANJI EN channel, with commentary provided by Elira Pendora and Oliver Evans. Luca was the first of the group to debut. Afterwards, all five members of Luxiem appeared on the main channel.

Luxiem's first original song, "Hope in the dark", was released shortly after the program. This song was written and produced by ChibaNyan, who previously wrote and produced Ethyria's debut song "God sees all".

Lore

Luca was transported to the present when he saw a guy beating someone up, and he decided to intervene. After Luca beat the guy up, he noticed that the victim had departed and left his bag. Luca wanted to give him his bag back, but it turned out that the man had actually stolen the bag. Mysta Rias was a detective who was chasing the man down, and when he saw Luca with the bag, he accused him of being a thief, and chased him instead. Mysta then was taken away by a mysterious force, and immediately after, Luca was too, transporting both of them to the present day.

Luca shares his character designer with fellow NIJISANJI EN Liver Alban Knox from Noctyx, Umise Yotsuha, and Saiki Ittetsu both from the main NIJISANJI branch.
He has asthma but it is seasonal, usually acting up every 6 months or so.
A running gag between Luca and his fans is his "booba", referring to his pectorals. This was first pointed by Reimu Endou, where she commented "BOOBA" on one of his tweets, in which Luca replied, "THEY ARE NOT THAT BIG". Protesting that he does not have big "booba", he claimed he will prove it on debut. By the time Luca's held his debut stream, he "proved it" by removing his coat and jacket, though it only enforced the running gag even further, as his bust is arguably large in size.
Luca's female persona is named Lucy, which is often what fans refer to him when he uses his girl voice. He sometimes treats Lucy as a separate person who sometimes visits his stream, rather than as a female version of himself and he can easily switch between two voices on the fly.

On 7 May, Luca reached 1 million subscribers during a countdown stream. This achievement made him the 3rd NIJISANJI EN member and the 7th NIJISANJI Liver overall to reach this milestone.

On 7 July, NIJISANJI announced that Luca would be the last member of Luxiem to reveal his 3D model on July 27, 12 PM JST.
