Lore
5000 years is a long time to dream.
When my mother said goodbye to me before leaving me in the underwater temple that would protect me for a few years, apart from my father's staff, she left me a phrase that I would later discover to humans when talking about her: Pantha Rei. Everything is in continuous movement. Like water itself. Every time... we let ourselves be carried away by the sea currents that propelled our adventures to remote and unknown places, she always told me that we would never be carried by the same water current and that we always had to be willing to have an open mind to accept what destiny has in store for us.
The dragons of my lineage never had a moment of peace. Our adversaries, other creatures already forgotten, were created by the same titans during the creation of the universe and were always in conflict both with each other and with us. Our knowledge and philosophy made us a technologically advanced and peaceful people that aroused jealousy among others and made them conspire against us until they finally decided to gather forces and attack our homes and temples under the sea.
When the war broke out, I was a few hundred years old. My mother, a very wise dragon, sheltered me in a temple with a power to remain hidden so strong that 5000 years passed until some terrestrial beings called humans discovered it and freed me.
I used this time to rediscover the hidden knowledge of my people and learn a powerful spell that would allow me to leave the sea, see the surface and camouflage myself among humans. Human civilization was fascinating to me, especially for its ability to adapt. Suddenly, I saw my mother's philosophy, the Pantha Rei, applied everywhere. No experience will ever be the same as the last, everything is constantly changing.
And it is in the midst of this change that I will find a new reason to live. Show more
