Formerly Aoi Nabi, Nabi was a Korean independent VTuber and illustrator who debuted on YouTube in May 2021. She’s best known for illustrating other VTubers, including Amatsuka Uto and Watson Amelia, as well as her own model. She graduated in September 2023, and later made a new channel in 2024 for occasional drawing streams, but not as a VTuber.

2021
On 2 May, Nabi made her VTuber debut on YouTube.
On 3 May (JST), just 28 minutes after her debut, she reached 100,000 subscribers.
On 11 May, she reached over 200,000 subscribers.
At some point in July, she created a secondary Twitter account, which is mainly used for her VTuber activities, while her main account is focused on posting illustrations.
On 16 October, she celebrated over 300,000 subscribers.
Hiatus
On 21 February, Nabi announced that she would be suspending her streaming activities indefinitely due to academic reasons. At some point after, all of her stream archives were unlisted except for her song covers, and her original Twitter and Tumblr accounts were deactivated.
On 16 May, Nabi unlisted or deleted all of her videos and stream archives, including song covers, from both YouTube and Twitch. She uploaded a new cover on her channel on 28 May along with restoring some of her previous covers.
On 7 June, Nabi tweeted that she would tentatively be returning to streaming by March or April of 2023.
Starting on 26 June until August, she had some brief chatting streams in order to keep contact with everyone.
On 10 September, she went on another streaming hiatus to pursue academic opportunities in Europe.
In early December, during her study period in Europe, she visited Austria and met up with hololive member Takanashi Kiara. She subsequently also took a hiatus from social media activity around 13 December, and also deleted or privated all content on her YouTube channel. On 22 December, Kiara confirmed that Nabi's account had not been hacked. Additionally, Kiara confirmed that Nabi had not gotten sick, as had been rumored after Kiara's illness.
2023
In February, she made a post on her YouTube Community page announcing that she was planning to move back to Korea by 29 March, hoping to return to streaming by that time.
On 14 April, she held her first stream in over a year, revealing her second model, featuring a new a midnight blue dress outfit adorned with many white ribbons. She rigged this new Live2D model herself.
Retirement
On 17 September, she announced that she would be ceasing her streaming activities again, as she wished to focus her time on her education and her job as an illustrator. All streams would be either delisted or removed while her channel memberships would be taken down a month later.
Return
In February, Nabi announced through a YouTube Community Post that she was going to start streaming on CHZZK, a Korean-language streaming platform. She linked her new CHZZK streaming account, as well as a new Twitter account (@nabinabinya), where she announces her streaming activities separately from her illustrator Twitter account (@rainydayinabi).
On 24 February, she did a stream on YouTube while using a simple white rabbit model, and briefly teased what appears to be an early PNG version of a new VTuber model. On 27 February, she used this same temporary model on her first CHZZK stream.
On 7 March, she accidentally deleted her new YouTube channel (ID: UCBAV3T4Vs6Y-jkJsGbUIgSA with 5k subscribers) while attempting to delete a different channel with 0 subscribers. She was able to quickly restore the channel, but except for her announcement from February, any other content has remained private/inaccessible since then.
On 20 March, Nabi returned to streaming with a VTuber model on CHZZK. She did her stream using her 2023 model, but with a different hairstyle, arranged in a two-side up hairstyle with twin pigtails, tied with fluffy white pom-pom hairties. She played "My Little Puppy" during the stream.
She did both VTuber and face cam streams on CHZZK, but after 20 March her streams did not feature her VTuber model and instead used her webcam, doing a face reveal. She plans to stream 3 times a week on that platform until she gets used to streaming regularly.
Retirement from VTubing
On 11 April, she announced through a Q&A on her Twitter that she has dropped her plans to make and debut a new VTuber model, and will not be doing VTuber streams anymore. Her stated reasons are that she doesn't like her drawn character's face, and that streaming as a regular face cam streamer turned out to be more comfortable for her. She will be streaming with a non-VTuber bunny model rather than her VTuber model whenever she isn't using her camera.
