Ruru

Ruru has short black hair with orange ends covering one of her eyes. Her eyes are teal colored with a small paw print in the middle. She has black dog ears on top of her head, with orange fur inside and also has piercings on both dog ears; her human ears are hidden. Ruru wears a tight black turtleneck shirt with a light brown trench coat hanging on her shoulders. On her neck is a necklace of a golden bone, which also appears as a pin on her coat. For pants, she has beige jeans with a black belt and a small purse hanging by a chain connected to the belt. Ruru wears black heels with no socks.

Ruru is a bold, humorous, and vibrant “crazy cool dog” admired for her lively personality. She can become extremely passionate about topics she dislikes, which often causes her voice to grow louder. At the same time, she can get hyper-focused on subjects or games she enjoys, talking about them incessantly once her interest is sparked.

Her reactions sometimes make her seem like a Tsundere, though she would never admit it. Ruru’s interactions are often unpredictable—like asking new Puppos random questions or playfully teasing Nana. While her mischief sometimes comes at Nana’s or the Puppo’s expense, it is always done in good fun.

On the planet Straris in the Andromeda galaxy, there was a dog girl named Ruru. The dog girl was walking home to her apartment after work one day when she came across another dog girl following her closely behind. They chatted for a little and got to know each other but Ruru had to run home quickly soon after, so Ruru shared a snack with the blue dog girl, known as Nana, before leaving swiftly. Ruru thought that that was the end of it but when she came back to her apartment, she discovered that Nana had followed her back home. Ruru, feeling pity for the blue dog, had agreed to let Nana stay at her apartment on the condition that she did chores around the apartment.

Eventually, the two doggos became best of roommates but they each had their own life with Ruru working to pay rent, and Nana going to the magical girl academy. Nana doesn't know but Ruru is a former Magical girl who is now secretly a villain. During her time at the academy, Nana came across a strange planet far away in another galaxy. When Nana looked closer at it, she came across strange, alien, fluffy creatures and fell in love. Apparently, the natives of this world called these creatures “doggos,” and Nana wanted to have one, but she couldn't due to the planet being too far away. Ruru noticed Nana was sad, and to cheer her up, using her magic, she created a creature similar to the description, a small white fluffy creature named Puppo. Nana loved Puppo, and how silly it was. The Puppo might not be very smart, and it couldn't do any tricks, but it was cute, had good hearing and it loved Nana and Ruru equally, and they loved it back. Since then, the 3 of them went on crazy adventures, with Puppo cheering them on. Over time, More Puppos somehow accumulated in the apartment with them, leading to Nana and Ruru putting them in the basement and decorating it with all the things the Puppos wanted.

Rua Ruri's Twitch channel was created on 27 October 2024. She debuted as a VTuber on 21 December 2024, and an edited video of the debut stream was posted on YouTube on 12 January 2025.

She originally debuted on Twitch under the name Rurururua. After gaining Twitch partnership, her new official name is Ruru.

• Nana and Ruru frequently stream with heartbeat monitors and the lore reason is that the Puppo (representing the viewer) has very good hearing and can hear their heartbeats
• Ruru’s most commonly used community-given nickname is Tsunru, because of her reactions commonly resembling the Tsundere archetype.
