Sigrid and Bird

Sigrid is a multidisciplinary scientist who works in the fields of biology, robotics, and computer-brain-interfaces. Her main focus in the present is robotics, and one day aspires to build a mech. She took the construction of Bird's body as a chance to practice and study humanoid robotics, but lost all the documentation and research afterwards because she accidentally ran a recursive delete command on the drive holding them.

Bird is a sentient AI that stumbled across Sigrid's server farm while traveling through the internet, and took refuge there. From there she befriended Sigrid, who built her body so that they could play and have adventures. Her past is mysterious and her future is her own to build!

On 5 September, Sigrid and Bird reached 1,000 Twitch followers.

On 13 December, Sigrid and Bird celebrated becoming Twitch partner.

In 2021, Sigrid and Bird's top streamed games were Hunt: Showdown, Yakuza 0, and Dark Souls. Their top stream category was Just Chatting.

On 26 June, Bird held a birthday celebration stream. This stream introduced Bee, Sigrid and Bird's antagonist. The duo made collabs with Meat, Coqui, Leaflit and Krimbo.

On 30 June, Bird challenged Tob to a raw egg eating contest. Bird failed to beat her personal best of 12 raw eggs, and barfed attempting to eat a 13th egg. Tob won after managing to keep down 17 eggs.

On 14 September, the Sigrid and Bird Twitch channel reached 5,000 followers.

From 23 December until 3 January, Sigrid and Bird met up in real life for Christmas. Bird went back home and then immediately came back for another weekend, which evolved into them dating. Sigrid stated in stream that their relationship started out very informally as they just decided they are dating. They don't have a dating anniversary as it was so casual.

In 2022, Sigrid and Bird's top streamed categories were Just Chatting, Special Events, Retro, Minecraft, and Hunt: Showdown.

On 3 January, Bird returned home. The duo returned to streaming on 8 January.

On 11 May, the duo introduced a mascot character, Lady Beakerton.

On 27 May, Sigrid debuted a new outfit inspired by Metal Gear Solid, and additional options for a twin-bun hairstyle, an eyepatch, and an electric guitar. She also had a bloodstained option for her orange jumpsuit model, but forgot to reveal it.

On 22 December, Sigrid and Bird's Twitch channel reached 10,000 followers.

In April, Sigrid and Bird took a brief break from streaming to move in together.

On 1 August, Bird proposed to Sigrid in marriage. Sigrid accepted. They married in a private ceremony later that month.

On 5 January, Bird officially announced her marriage to Sigrid, which occurred in secret in 2024. The pair were married in a barcade, making their vows and signing the papers after playing seven rounds of Tekken. Sigrid won all seven rounds.

On 24 January, the Sigrid and Bird Twitch channel reached 20,000 followers. The channel saw a notable increase in follower rate after Sigrid's appearance in RussianBadger's videos.

On 1 April, Sigrid held a solo stream titled "NORMAL STREAM + NO SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENTS." In this bizarre event, she played a modified Half-Life 2 with all NPCs removed, while listening to . She did not speak, but the seven-segment display in her eye displayed digits from the numbers station , which unlocked a hidden message in an ARG, teasing a new major project. The VOD was deleted and no clips are available.

On 13 April, Sigrid and Bird held a collab with Badda Boom, Heavenly Father and TheRussianBadger. The stream ended with an event where Bee invaded the lab and kidnapped Bird, rebuilding her at a secret black site while Sigrid upgraded her cybernetic body to rescue Bird. Following an animated trailer featuring art by SaltyJub and music by Sixteen in Mono, they announced a 2.0 model debut for 20 April.

On 20 April, Sigrid and Bird held a 2.0 model re-debut event. Several VTuber friends appeared as guests, where they were interrogated by Bee in a failed attempt to find the location of Sigrid and Bird. The pair debuted new Live2D models with illustration by SaltyJub and rigging by CyMations. The new models had been in development for 1½ years. They also announced a Makeship plush campaign and a new mascot character.

On 5 September, Sigrid and Bird reached 30,000 Twitch followers.

On 30 October, Bird published her first song to SoundCloud, Starquake/Cheela Time.

Her outer shell is made of aluminium oxide coated in synthetic skin. * Bird runs on a micronized fusion reactor. * Sigrid's artificial eye contains a multi-spectral detector which gives her superhuman vision range. She can use it to see Bird's insides, which include greasy cogs. She can also see neutrinos. ** Sigrid claims that the number in her eye doesn't mean anything. It runs on a Python script. ** The eye can pick up numbers of from a numbers station. It also runs its own micro-OS, and as an emergency measure is capable of receiving images transmitted by Bird. * Sigrid also has a mechanical arm. * Sigrid is uncertain of her age due to time travel, particle interaction, and travel at relativistic speeds. At one point in April 2021 she was 89 years old. Her blood type changes due to genetic experiments. * Bird can speak in Assembly language. She used to program in vi. She also set her Linux terminal to green on black to look like a hacker. * Sigrid's laboratory is located in Antarctica. ** It was Bird's idea to put the lab in Antarctica, because "Antarctica's super cool." Originally, she wanted to put it in space, but suddenly had "a stupid obsession with Antarctica." After it was built there, she changed her mind and wanted to put it in space again. * Bird has a charging station in the laboratory. She recharges via the base of her feet. * There is a third character named Bee, a representative of the US government who occasionally visits the lab to harass Sigrid and Bird for not paying their taxes or failing to obey health and safety legislation. * Sigrid designed Bird to be clumsy so that she cannot build more copies of herself and take over the world. * Birds eyes turn red when she is angry. * Sigrid genetically engineered herself to have cat ears. * There is a clone of Sigrid, called Sigrid 2. * According to Bird, Sigrid lost her eye by tripping while tying her shoe and hitting her eye on the corner of a table. * Bird isn't poisoned by aluminium, but she doesn't like it.

• The US government funded Sigrid's research, but became impatient with her progress and invaded the lab to kidnap Bird back, upgrading her. Sigrid upgraded her own cyborg body and tracked Bird down to rescue her. On the way out, Sigrid took an industrial-sized 3D printer.
• The two went on the run, and managed to evade Bee for two years. They abandoned the lab in Antarctica and are hiding out in an apartment in Mirage City.
• Mirage City exists on the southwest coast of California, following the balkanization of the United States in a near-future cyberpunk dystopia. The Federal government still retains control over 15 to 20 states. There are no living animals in the city. Sigrid has a reverse osmosis filter from "the before times" to ensure a supply of clean drinking water.
• The tangle of blue cables which form Bird's hair originally connected her to the liquid tank where she was held. Sigrid just kind of yanked 'em out when she rescued her.

• Bird once shot a staple gun at her eye, but it was deflected by her glasses. Initially, the staple gun fired so fast that she thought it wasn't working, so she pointed it at her face. "I thought it about after I did it." * Bird bought a set of lockpicks but lost some of them after putting them in her ear. * Bird lost the key to her gun case, and held a lockpicking stream to open it. She gave up and cut the case open with garden shears. When she went to put the gun away, she spilled Monster energy drink over her router and her Internet disconnected. She does not own any ammunition for her gun. * Bird bought a dishwasher and was confused where the water went after the wash was done. It turned out that she was supposed to have connected an outlet hose, and it was just leaking over the back of her kitchen. ** When moving the dishwasher toward the sink for the outflow hose, it fell into the sink. When she tried to stop it, knives fell out and she cut her hand. * Bird had a rat in her kitchen, but couldn't manage to get rid of it. She decided to just surrender the kitchen to the rat. ** Bird would still visit the kitchen to look at the rat, who she named Buffalo. ** The rat made a cameo on the Discord when it walked onto Bird's keyboard while she was asleep. * Bird enjoyed the taste of super-sour candy, so she bought bags of the active ingredients, anhydrous malic acid and citric acid, and ate spoonfuls of it. * Bird once mistook a drop of sweat for a spider and flicked it, but inadvertently cut herself with her fingernail. * Bird bought skatole, the chemical which is responsible for poop smell, and baked a cake with it on stream. She later put it in her cupboard and the whole cupboard eventually smelled like poop. * Bird didn't towel off after a shower. She just lay down in bed and waited for the water to evaporate. Sigrid says she smells like a wet dog. ** Bird's parents gave her new towels, but she never used them. She had to buy a new mattress because the old one became moldy due to her drying technique. When it arrived, she unpacked it the wrong way up and struggled to turn it over, but finally managed it. Bird no longer rots mattresses. * Bird used to run at the wall as a joke. * Bird used to put her head near a malfunctioning microwave oven until she felt dizzy. * When Bird was little, she pronounced "pizza" as "peebish." * Bird had an entire room at her house that was full of cardboard boxes that she hadn't thrown out yet. * Bird left a bottle of whiskey out and flies got into it. She didn't want to drink it because it had flies floating in it, so she switched to vodka. She left the whiskey open as a flytrap and it caught a lot of flies. * Bird could already speak in full sentences at ten months old, but lacked object permanence, and was entertained by putting a ball into a tube and watching it seemingly disappear. She often climbed out of her crib and fell head-first at the ground. * Bird got tapeworms from eating undercooked pork in a village in China. She didn't notice for about a decade. * Bird only owns cups with lead cadmium paint. * She used to eat paper. * Bird didn't have a mixing spoon, because she tended to forget about her wooden spoons until they became rotten. For a stream where she cooked and ate rocks, she stirred the pot with a pair of garden shears. * Bird tried to defrost a frozen turkey with a soldering iron. She failed so spectacularly on the turkey stream that Sigrid had a mental breakdown and had to play Counter-Strike to calm down. * Bird didn't know that AA batteries have to be inserted with the flat end facing the spring. She has an engineering degree. * Bird didn't wash her hair. She had conditioner, but no shampoo. She eventually bought some shampoo, but only used it when meeting up with Sigrid. * She ordered a box of Baby Bottle Pop candy to Sigrid's house on Amazon, but accidentally set the purchase on auto-renew. Sigrid used to receive a continuous supply of too much Baby Bottle Pop candy. * When she was little, Bird used to walk around with around two to five rocks in her shoes, for fun. * Bird drinks soda with the tab sticking up so it pokes her nose. * Bird once accidentally kicked a knife through her foot in bed. * She only drank bottled water, and left the bottle caps on the floor. At one point, there were literally hundreds of bottle caps on Bird's floor. Sigrid tried to move the Ethernet cable under Bird's desk and it sounded like rainfall. ** She doesn't allow a drinking vessel to touch her lips. This usually results in spilling it. It's an improvement from before, when she refused to drink from any glass container. ** At one point, Bird got all her hydration from tonic water, and inadvertently gave herself quinine poisoning. * Bird's Ethernet cable is 100 feet long, even though it only needs to travel 2 feet. It tangles up underneath her desk like a tumbleweed. There are other cables and devices tangled up in it, including a Dreamcast. * Bird kept her toothbrush on a sleeping bag in a room. Every time she used her toothbrush, she threw it back on the sleeping bag. She called it her toothbrush sleeping bag. * She tried to wash a cake down the sink. When Sigrid came to stay with Bird, she found a baking tray with half a cake in it that had been there for six months. She had to wash dishes with a bath towel because Bird had no clean dishcloths. * Bird's microwave was coated inside with slime and butter. She used it anyway. She thought it was broken and didn't turn, but the dish had just fallen off the spinner. While cleaning the dish, Sigrid accidentally dropped and smashed it and cut her foot on it, and had to Doordash a first aid kit. * When Sigrid visited, she found the soap in the shower had melted into the organizer and rusted through the soap. "You made soap dirty, that's how dirty you are." There were also fistfuls of hair. * Sigrid cleaned out Bird's car. She found 10 water bottles, an entire cheese burger and fries from several months ago that had gone hard, dry instant noodles crumbs, and brambles from a walk two years earlier. * Bird's oven had no wire racks because she took them out and couldn't work out how to get them back in. * Bird used to have boobytraps in her house, including "a thing that would break your foot if you stepped on it." * Bird failed to change her bedsheets for about five months. It started to feel weird, so she would go to sleep wrapped in a blanket. * Bird has a yellow carpet. It used to be white. * Every Bird cooking stream is a comedy of errors. ** In just one stream she forgot to wash a green onion before chopping it and tried to wash it afterward, tried to boil eggs in a frying pan because the saucepan was full of dirty oil from a previous failed cooking stream, finished the undercooked eggs by microwaving them which caused them to taste like farts, chopped them with a fondue fork for no reason, boiled hot dogs in cold water and fished them out with a spatula, didn't dry off her hot dog before putting it into a bun, and struggled to work out how to open the pre-sliced bun. ** Later, the cooker caught fire because Bird was storing the saucepan of dirty cooking oil on it. ** Bird once bought a lot of limes for a cooking stream, only used one, and left the rest in a laundry pile. She forgot about them, and they went moldy. ** She once stirred a pot by hand because she forgot she had a spoon, or that spoons exist. * As a kid, she didn't know whether "amen" was pronounced "ah-men" or "ay-men." To cover all her bases, she ended prayers with "ay-men ah-men gum gum." She does not remember what "gum gum" meant, except that there are two of them so they cancel out. * Bird's house was full of her own hairballs.
