Toast originally streamed under a different name using a webcam, but stepped away in 2019 due to burnout and medical challenges. During this hiatus, she experienced a severe flare of laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), which left her functionally mute for over a year, a period marked by recovery, reflection, and creative recalibration.
After a multi-year break, she returned as a PNGTuber in November 2024, launching the Toasty Tavern and her current VTuber identity.
The rebrand from “A Side of Toast” to “Toasty Morsel” was finalized in mid-October 2025, aligning with VTuber naming culture, securing a consistent handle across platforms, and moving beyond the “games” label to embrace broader creative expression. Despite the name change, Toast remains Toast, and the Tavern continues to be the heart of her brand.
Toast is the tavernkeeper of the Toasty Tavern, a cozy-chaotic space filled with mouslings, melee euphemisms, and magical mischief. Her lore blends warmth, whimsy, and a touch of unhinged energy, all grounded by her devotion to her wife, both in-character and in real life.
Inside jokes like "Fish n' Chips", "Curley Fries" and "Boaty Floaty" are woven into the Tavern’s culture, turning moderation and etiquette into playful rituals.

On 23 September, Toast had her first collaboration with fellow indie VTuber BaleHound, marking the beginning of a creative partnership. Their shared energy and mutual support inspired new approaches to etiquette, visual identity, and community engagement. While storytelling isn’t a current focus, Toast’s cozy-chaotic vibe and emotionally intelligent presence continue to shape her streams, from gaming and art to playful chatting with her Mouslings.
On 17 January, Toast Debuted her new Live2D model sparking a new chapter along her journey. With this debut she brought new backgrounds, music, alerts, emojis, and various other assets to bring her streams to a new level.
On 24 March, Toast hit 1,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel. As a thank you she held a special stream attempting to draw some of the mice.
Toast streams chatting, art, and gaming focused content at the moment. Her stream includes custom panels (Rules, Credits, Fanart) and animated screens (Intro, BRB, Ending) that reinforce the Tavern’s lore and emotional tone. She also maintains a living progress tracker to keep the community informed and engaged.
