You will be in safe hands with a designated counsellor unit and will be treated within minutes. We thank you for your service."

Words from the past that echoed the irregularity that she represented, yet the facility that had been her prison was filled with only the quiet whirr of millennia-old machinery still serving their purpose until their end. Was it millennia... or have eons passed by? A single life remained trapped within those walls, silently slumbering, the foundation of a man-made miracle.

"For Annihilation can never witness it, then Annihilation shall never be."

The researchers of her past had successfully manufactured a vessel to contain the very concept of Annihilation. In reality, however, another existence on a similar level had interfered in their world: a green-haired cat that spread a paradise of flowers with every step. The researchers referred to them as the manifestation of Eden itself, but they simply named themselves Verity and granted a vision of their truth: All these false worlds that they exist in will all inevitably come to an abrupt end. With the little fragments of this truth, the fanatic researchers experimented with subject after subject until finally securing the unfortunate soul with the most compatibility with their goal to extend the lifespan of their world.

Once she, now referred to as subject "A-176," had become all but a seemingly lifeless puppet to their goal. With the assistance of Verity, they had conditioned the very existence of "Annihilation" into her soul in order to bind such an uncertain word into material form. Her hair shifted from a soft black to a hateful red. Finally, to seal the uncontrolled energy released by Annihilation and halt the self-destruction of their own physical body they applied three containers obtained from different, already destroyed, worlds.

The first container: four solid metal storage vessels in the form of blades that glow with an eerie golden glow. The green cat told them the ill-fated story: A tale of a pawn, a sham of a divine guardian, a wolf that served to protect humanity yet was also the one that brought it to its end in an ever-repeating and seemingly never-ending cycle. The blades symbolize the claws of this beast, and their power to isolate space with a single slice would serve to act as a barrier that halts the spread of the corrosive energy leaking from A-176.

The second container: a pure white rifle similar to that of a sniper or even a railgun. The green cat told them the tragic story: A tale of misunderstandings, heartbreak, and betrayal. An angel was forced to descend in the form of a rabbit, holding the instrument to the final miracle of the world: destruction. A simple misunderstanding leads to a heart shattered. In the end, they betrayed humanity in their belief that their last remaining purpose was to "call the Kingdom of Heaven." The tragedy would be that they were truly abandoned by God as well, for in a lifeless world covered in snow-like ash, she remained alone. The rifle represents the instrument and acts as an outward, controlled exhaust of A-176's overflowing energy.

The final container: was paradise itself: Verity. The one who would grant eternity to the human that once was, to forever ensnare Annihilation and trap them in an unfathomably deep dream forever.

How long had it been since then... trapped in a dream that seemed to never end?

Was it millennia... or have eons passed by? A single life had begun to awaken within those walls, the cursed existence of a man-made miracle took its first steps once more.

A girl with rough, charcoal-like black hair dipped in white and stained with streaks of red, green, blue, and yellow had stepped out of the facility. The simple outfit she adorned was fashioned from the remains of fabrics and clothes she found within the dilapidated facility. Behind her, the ghostly visage of a green cat briskly followed. The girl's form momentarily flickered between her current form and that of a girl with brilliant red hair, two now sharing their existence together. As she opened her eyes, their color quickly cycled, stopping upon a lively scarlet tone.

She called herself "Alicia Teritorus"... a human name once long forgotten. Yet, she was also "Alithia-Nanoni Gretre," the Witness of Annihilation. Who would truly be in control in the end... only time would tell. They stepped out into this new universe of Humanity, one that faced many Annihilations and Rebirths. Though she might still stumble... they wish to experience what it's like to be normal as best as they can.

• Alicia, the twins of both red and black, desiring only for normalcy amidst a swirl of inner conflict: "The terror of desiring to simply exist... the pain of wishing to ---."
