Ayuki Akiba

Ayuki is calm and professional during her zatsudan/Just Chatting streams, often drifting over topics relating to technology, games, and her other varied interests. Ayu in her competitive mode is a no-nonsense mercenary with a kill-streak to match, she also tends to lock in a little too hard.

Self-described as a "girlkisser", Ayuki has been known to compliment, flirt with, and bark for her female/female-presenting collab partners and close friends. She also occasionally streams private worlds in VR Chat which some of her fans often label as GFE (Girlfriend Experience) due to how cozy and intimate the settings are.

Notoriously, she can't take a compliment, but often self-reports as liking attention and praise, despite her self-sufficient and self-motivated reputation. She also often states that the attention and praise are "more effective" when they come from women.

She does her best to cultivate streams and a community of inclusivity, especially for LGBTQ+ viewers and allies.

Her general tone of voice and demeanor is usually very soothing and mature, which often gets her labelled as a "mommy"-type. Though she maintains she is at best a "Wine-aunt" or preferably as a "Big sister".

She is also infamously a workaholic, sometimes even unable to escape talking about work during gaming streams.

Ayu has long orange hair, usually done up in twin tails, with a large section let down in the back, and springy ahoge. She has ice blue eyes, and pale skin.

Her default form has two gnarly horns that have a fire gradient in the center and darken to a deep brown around the edges and turn blue at the tips, and a single long orange tail that ends in a blue fan-like fin, and has two metallic rings that hover around it. Her horns also give off a blue-cyan form of digital steam (binary can be seen above and around her horns in a bluish haze). Her model also has toggles to alter her hairstyle, changing her twin tails into a single side tail, or to shorten the long section at her nape.

To date, she has three distinct outfits:

• A grey-brown bodysuit with scale-patterns patches that she often wears with poofy sleeved bolero jacket, shorts, a scale-patterned skirt, and thigh-length boots.
• A "racer" outfit with a black and white jacket, sky blue skirt, and shorter boots. The jacket also has a harness that bears her name.
• A more casual business outfit of a white jacket with a grey sweater tanktop, and a long black skirt with open-toe shoes.

Ayuki's YouTube account was originally registered on 19 June 2006. Her Twitch account was registered on 10 April 2014, although she was not a streamer at this time.

Ayuki served as an admin or moderator in Discord servers for several popular streamers, including Kson, Henya the Genius, Michi Mochievee, Kuro Kurenai, and Matara Kan. At times she has also provided I.T. and technical services for indie streamers and VShojo talents.

On 23 June 2023, she debuted as a VTuber herself.

• Her mascot and fans are a small orange dragon called an "Ayubyte", a portmanteau of her own nickname and the data storage unit, byte.
• The Ayubytes carry her trademark orange tail and horns, although they are often depicted with a missing chunk from their tail, in the shape of a bite. At this time, it is unclear who is attempting to eat the Ayubytes.
• The Ayubyte mascot was also created by Ayuki's art mama, Tanyan.

• She comes from a virtual and far-flung future, at least two millennia ahead of current time.
• She will not divulge any concrete details about the future, often citing "no spoilers".
• She originally operated as a chemistry agent in the medical field, but has reconfigured to work in processing and logistics.
• She exists as a digital entity, entirely distinct from modern A.I. in that her functions and intelligence are far more complex, and impossible to replicate.
• As a digital entity in the future, she also spent significant amounts of time studying and emulating idol culture from modern times.
• She is a registered time-traveler able to move between the future time she is from, and now. It is unknown by what mechanism or technology she is allowed to do so, the purpose behind her trips to this time (other than that she was sent back to help humanity connect and to study idol culture, the end goal of these tasks is unknown).
• When Ayu is away or hasn't streamed for a few days, she is often back in her own time performing other functions that may or may not be related to her mission in current times.
• She also has a "flesh chassis" that she had built so she can operate and maneuver in real space where internet connections are not very strong. This chassis is said to resemble her assistant, and has been spotted in walkabout streams at recent conventions.

• She plays guitar and sings.
• Her hobbies are delving into VTuber, idol, and internet culture, working with technology, and gaming.
• Her goals are to make new friends and focus on streaming.
• Her kami-oshi is Kiryu Coco, a former hololive member.
