Bibingka Bear

Bibingka is generally easygoing and approachable, with a strong enthusiasm for learning, research, and teaching. She likes to stay curious and often has a new interest or hyperfixation every couple of weeks that she’ll be all too excited to yap about.

She is a small, purple sun bear with a light brown snout, eyebrows, and face markings, magenta eyelids and claws, and a crescent-shaped patch of light brown fur on her chest. She typically wears a black windbreaker jacket, white shoes (with a paw-shaped design on the sole), gold earrings, and a gold sun bear badge.

She occasionally wears different outfits for field trips and events, such as a summer swimsuit, a fluffy winter cape, lunch lady outfit, astronaut suit, teddy bear onesie, and cupid outfit (wherein she dyes her fur pink for the day).

Bibingka’s fans (and students) are known as the Bibingkubs, often referred to as Kubs. They are based on bibingka, a type of rice cake from the Philippines, and are available in a variety of colorations such as ube, pandan, mocha, and strawberry, and decorative toppings such as chocolate swirl and salted egg.

The Bibingkubs are also vaguely based on Digimon, and as such, have a smaller, pre-evolved form known as the Bibatters, which resemble amorphous blobs with bear-like ears, and occasionally, a single egg yolk on their forehead.

• Bibingka’s streams take place in a dilapidated and overgrown portable classroom (or bungalow, as she calls it) known as “Bibingka Bear’s Community College, Kub Daycare, and All-Day Parking.”
• Bibingka claims to be teaching community college-level classes, but also allows the Bibingkubs to have nap time, recess, enrichment time, and other features associated with daycare and primary school.
• The classroom is inexplicably able to transform into different styles based on historical art movements such as surrealism, art deco, and cubism.
• When Bibingka is unavailable, classes are taught by a substitute teacher named Mr. Pancakes, who appears to be a stuffed animal. Bibingka later revealed that he is also the school’s principal and on 13 February 2026, he gained the ability to speak via TTS.

• Bibingka’s name is based on bibingka, a type of baked rice cake from the Philippines. It’s often enjoyed during Christmas time, which happens to also be Bibingka’s favorite time of year.
• Bibingka has a partner, BeansDaBear.
• She is only fluent in English but can understand Tagalog and is learning Spanish, Russian, and Japanese.
• She also loves studying writing systems from around the world and can read Cyrillic, Hiragana, Katakana, and Baybayin (a pre-colonial Filipino script). She’s currently learning how to read Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and Maya glyphs.
• She sometimes has trouble telling her left from her right, and often has to make her fingers into Ls to tell the difference.
