Caren

Caren is an electronic succubus who lives in the digital world, residing inside a screen in a second-hand electronics shop on Starray Block.

She usually watches humans outside on the street laughing and playing through the screen. Loving lively atmospheres, Caren longs to join them, but the screen always blocks her from getting out. Unable to... leave, she becomes heartbroken, gazing at the neon-lit human world outside and crying alone until dawn.

One day, a Table Man and a Cloud Man suddenly appear behind her.
The Cloud Man says, “I have a really cool magic card here that can let you pass through the screen into the human world to live it up.”
Excited, Caren accepts the offer and takes the magic card handed to her by the Table Man.

With the Visa EasyCard, Caren finally fulfills her wish, which is to pass through the screen and live a carefree, happy life.

One day, while enjoying her comfortable life, eating ice cream, and reading doujinshi, the long-unseen Table Man and Cloud Man suddenly appear again. The Cloud Man pulls out a long electricity bill, while the Table Man tells Caren that if she doesn’t top up her Visa EasyCard soon, her visa will expire and she will be deported back into the screen.

Realizing she has no money at all and needs income to survive, Caren, under the suggestion of her two creditors, the Table Man and the Cloud Man, steps onto a one-way road: written as “streaming,” but read as “selling her liver.” Show more
