Name Origin

The name "Enemy__Crab" is reference to the meme "Giant Enemy Crab" that began circulating in 2006, which fits into Crab's Scene aesthetic.

Crab has stated that she "stole" the name from someone else, temporarily at first. After receiving numerous comments from passersbys in games like WoW, she realized that her name really helped her stand out, and decided to keep it.

It is known that before she was named Enemy__Crab, her name on most platforms was Djinn, which is to become a major part of her lore.

Suspension and Account Lockout

In early 2025, Enemy_ _crab fell under real life circumstances that prompted a change in phone number. This led to a cascade of problems with Twitch and their third party login company, Authy. On 23 January 2025, Authy decided that because Crab's NEW phone number was already in use by another account on Twitch, that it would be appropriate to MERGE her account with the other account associated with her new phone number-- a person she was not affiliated with whatsoever, instead of simply letting her use the same phone number or denying the request outright. This then led ALL of Crab's emails from Twitch to be redirected to the email of account they merged hers with.

Enemy crab was still able to log in on Twitch to stream, but could not access third party applications she needed because of the two factor authentication code still being sent to her old phone number, which she no longer had access to, and Authy's refusal to change it.

After weeks of emailing back and forth with Authy and Twitch, they finally unmerged Crab's Twitch account with the random other person who had used her new phone number previously. The same day, Enemy crab was permanently suspended on Twitch.

Enemy__Crab has stated that she plans to work with Twitch on lifting the suspension in the future, but because of her unprecedented growth on Tiktok, it has become less of a priority.
