To survive Mirin works as an office lady in this strange new world. She regularly goes to the karaoke bar and sings with all her might because she had learned that these machines were connected to the internet and she hopes that her song will somehow travel through the internet, into satellites, and eventually be sent to her home planet of Verdania.
