Born human in the "Run off," the lowest level of a dystopian city, Denki was irrevocably changed by the "Static miasma", a mutagenic fog rising from the city's chemical runoff that acted as a crude gene-splice, fusing their core DNA with that of a salamander. This toxic fusion branded their arm with dark, circuit-like patterns that slowly spread... through their veins; forcing him to bind it in hopes to slow the infection. They manifested a heavy, prehensile tail. Now, a unique hybrid and living conduit for the Apex's discarded power, Denki uses their hardened and slick new physique/new amphibious mutations to navigate the industrial gloom, hoping to scavenge enough to get by.
