Rei Inari's design draws inspiration from kitsune and fox spirit mythology. Rei's aesthetic blends shrine-inspired elements with modern fashion, combining traditional influences with contemporary clothing styles.

Her appearance features fox ears, a large fox tail (though she currently has FOUR tails), and a distinctive black and silvery grey hairstyle. Rei's design includes heterochromatic eyes (the left is silver and the right is a muted red).

Originally expected to quietly maintain the shrine alone, Rei gradually became curious about the world beyond it. She began reaching out beyond the veil, sharing stories and inviting others to gather beneath the lantern light.

Through this connection, travelers began to arrive. Some came seeking comfort, others curiosity, and some simply to enjoy the warmth of the shrine's glow.

These visitors became known as the Foxling Flames, the community gathered beneath the foxfire lanterns where chaos, laughter, storytelling, and companionship thrive.
