Name
- "Akane" spelled 「あかね」is her surname, meaning dark red, and is associated with brilliant red.
- "Rubedo" spelled 「ルベド」is her name and the term used in alchemy to describe the final stage of the alchemical process. The color red was associated with both gold and the philosopher's stone, and rubedo indicated the end of the alchemical process and alchemical success.
- In addition, Ryuu is a fan of Overlord, the light novel by author and illustrator Kagune Maruyama and So-bin, and decided to use the name Rubedo as a homage to one of the characters, named after a Guardian who's just mentioned as the younger sister of Nigredo and Albedo, who has a totally opposite personality than the latter two.
- She loves and thinks it's cute when her community calls her "Ryuu," like a way to express their love for her.
