While on a job to steal an ancient artifact, Tekkeda accidentally unleashes a sentient parasite. Finding Tekk to be good entertainment, and needing a host to inhabit, the parasite spares him and makes Tekk his new host. Having a parasite inside him made Tekk superhuman, and granted him enhanced marksmanship. But it came at a cost. Tekk receives a disease called "Master Of None", capping almost all of his physical abilities to 50% of his max potential. No matter what Tekk does he'll never be more than just average at basically everything that doesn't include shooting things. Tekk also inherited traits from the parasite such as an obsession for waffles, an urge for chaos, and is branded with Egyptian like tattoos. Tekk makes it clear that he never wanted this thing or its voice in his head to begin with and the two have a toxic relationship. Leading to Tekk occasionally stuffing it in a in plush doll to keep it's voice out.
