Varie is one half of the streaming duo known as the Haiiro Girls, alongside her twin sister, Alessia. The two are visual opposites—Alessia often dresses in black and embraces a darker, more gothic aesthetic, while Varie is bright themed and dressed in light colors. Together, they represent the balance of opposites: shadow and light, moon and sun, soft and sharp, yin and yang.
The name “Haiiro” (灰色), meaning gray in Japanese, was chosen to represent that duality, as well as their deep ties to anime and East Asian pop culture. Both sisters are part-Asian, and their brand is heavily inspired by the anime worlds they grew up loving, as well as their personal experiences. They both claim to have liked anime "back when you'd get bullied for it."
