Nanashiinku (ななしいんく), is a Japanese agency dedicated to the production and management of VTubers under the company 774 inc., which itself is a subsidiary of Japanese advertising company Adways Inc.. As of April 2022, the company has in total over 2.8 million subscribers on YouTube, making them the fourth most subscribed Japanese VTuber agency after hololive, NIJISANJI and VSPO!.

Timeline

2018
In June, Labot Inc. joined the emerging VTuber industry through the establishment of AniMare, a VTuber group which began their activities under association with the Upd8 agency, plus initial production support from Ichikara Inc. In July, the HoneyStrap group began their activities under association with Upd8.
2019
In February, the VApArt group began their activities. On 30 May, Labot Inc. was renamed to 774 inc. and was formally revealed to the public the following month in June.
2020
In March, the Sugar Lyric group began their activities. On 30 April, AniMare and HoneyStrap ended their association with Upd8.
2021
In October, the Hiyoku no Crosspiece group began their activities.
2022
On 3 December, 774 inc. held its Nanashi Fes 2022 "JUMP!" (ななしふぇす2022 "JUMP!") event at Tachikawa Stage Garden with a two-part day and night session.
2023
On 3 January, 774 inc.'s Twitter account announced VApArt's disbanding. On 7 January, VApArt disbanded with a last stream featuring all members on Uge's channel. From this point on VApArt's former members are directly under 774 inc.'s management. On 26 January, 774 inc. and VSPO!'s Twitter accounts announced that Komori Met would be transferred from the first agency to the latter on 1 February. On 20 March, 774 inc. announced that the name of the agency would be changed from "774inc." to "Nanashiinku" but the name of the management company would remain "774inc". On 21 March, the VTuber groups "AniMare," "Honey Strap," "Sugar Lyric," "Hiyoku no Crosspiece" and solo talents were merged into one group, including management, aiming to make it easier for the talents to thrive under just one brand. On 9 May, Suou Patra announced that she would be leaving the agency and continuing her activities as an independent VTuber, she bought the model and channel from the agency.
Overview
The company started activities on the spring of 2018 with the release of the thematic assembly of VTubers under AniMare. The agency formally revealed itself in June 2019, with the opening of their official website that encompasses AniMare, HoneyStrap, and VApArt. Unlike other companies that build and design their in-house motion capture and body tracking technologies, Nanashi uses software and technology created by Ichikara Inc. (later ANYCOLOR Inc., the same company behind NIJISANJI). Their headquarters is located in Akabane, Kita-ku, Tokyo.
Background
In July 2012, Adways Inc. established a consolidated subsidiary called Adways Labot Inc. In July 2015, Adways Labot Inc. was renamed to Labot Inc.
AniMare
AniMare was a group of VTubers whose members have animal traits. The group started its activities in 9 June 2018 and was merged with the other groups on 21 March 2023. Souya Ichika left the group earlier and for a time was the only "solo talent" of the agency.
HoneyStrap
HoneyStrap was group of demon queens from the underworld. The group started its activities in 2018 and was merged with the other groups on 21 March 2023.
VApArt
VApArt dissolved earlier than the other groups on 7 January 2023. Leaving its talents under 774inc.'s management as "solo talents" until the company's reestructure on 21 March 2023.
Sugar Lyric
Sugar Lyric was considered the sister unit of HoneyStrap. The group started its activities on 28 March 2020 and was merged with the other groups on 21 March 2023. Kojo Anna left the group earlier, being the second "solo talent" of the agency prior to the merge.
Hiyoku no Crosspiece
Hiyoku no Crosspiece was a group that started its activities 18 October 2021 and was merged with the other groups on 21 March 2023.
Trivia
* The name of the company is a pun on the name of the face of the production team, Nanashi (ななし). * All groups are produced by Nanashi, who manages the main channel of each group and their Twitter official account, but for any of the groups, she has an avatar and surname (which ends on the word cat, 猫 neko) in line with the thematic of the group. For instance for AniMare, she is Kuroneko Nanashi (黒猫ななし); for HoneyStrap, Haineko Nanashi (灰猫ななし); for VApArt, Ginneko Nanashi (銀猫ななし), for Sugar Lyric, Mikeneko Nanashi (三毛猫ななし), and for Hiyoku no Crosspiece, Muraneko Nanashi (村猫ななし). All incarnations of Nanashi uses the same oshi mark, being 🍩 (donut).
