About
Aoi Sakura, also known as Saku-chan, is a female Japanese VTuber who debuted on Twitter and YouTube in February 2024. She streams gaming content, particularly first-person shooter games, and is the founder of her own VTuber agency, re;BON. Illustrated by Myaanagi and Kubota Masaki, with Live2D rigging by Qooko and 3D modeling by Mochi Hiyoko, she enjoys singing and identifies as a half-cherry blossom fairy and snow maiden.

2024
On 4 February, right after her debut stream, Sakura reached 100,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
On 24 February, Sakura's YouTube channel was approved for monetisation.
On 10 March, Sakura announced her first offline fan meeting which would be held on 7 April 2024.
On 8 April, Sakura reached 200,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel during her first fan meeting reflection stream. In the same stream, she announced that her 3D model was currently under production by Mochi Hiyoko. She also announced that she planned to do first solo live concert in 2024.
On 9 April, Sakura released her 1st fan meeting commemoration goods online sale for a limited time.
On 1 September, she debuted her 3D model that was created by Mochi Hiyoko. At the end of the stream, she announced that she was starting her own VTuber agency called "re;BON" (リボン), and further announced that she will also be looking for new members soon as the agency's president.
On 24 October, her agency re;BON announced that it was opening an audition for new members, and will be accepting applications until 24 November.
2025
On 4 February, Sakura did her 1st anniversary celebration stream, also debuting her 2nd costume.
On 27 March, she celebrated her birthday and made several announcements. Aside from her birthday merch, she also announced that she was holding the "Aoi Sakura Gachinko Series" (ASGS), Year 2 Split 1 Apex tournament from 20-22 June and 27-29 June 2025. She also announced her first nationwide tour, beginning on 21 September in Nagoya. After the stream, she premiered her cover of "Watashi no Ichiban Kawaii Tokoro" (わたしの一番かわいいところ) by FRUITS ZIPPER.
On 23 December, she made a (now privated) important announcement stream, where she stated her decision to get a redesign, after a series of poor communications between her, her management staff, and her illustrator Myaanagi, resulted in severely strained relations between her and Myaanagi. Sakura clarifies that Myaanagi was not at fault (miscommunication by management over requested artwork for an event that ultimately got cancelled was the root cause), but she wishes to move on from this incident by finding a new illustrator, for her own mental health.
2026
On 17 May, Sakura debuted her 2.0 main Live2D model. The redesign's new character designer is Kubota Masaki, who replaces her previous illustrator from this point on.

- On 28 February 2024, Sakura held her first sponsored stream on 17LIVE. It was also her first time streaming with vertical-screen settings.
- On 5 April 2024, Sakura participated in "SCARZ CUP Apex Legends vol.3" organised by eSport team SCARZ, as part of "Team Meltstera" along with Meltstera (RIDDLE) and Eden.
- On 10 January 2025, Sakura participated in the "TIE RECON CUP2" Apex tournament along with rpr (KINOTROPE) and PRiZE (TIE) as "Team rpr". The team placed 7th in the overall ranking.
- On 15 February 2025, Sakura participated in the "DTTO.CUP" Apex tournament as part of Pakael TEAM along with Pakael and Kano.
- On 15 May 2026, Sakura participated in the "SCARZ CUP vol.5" Apex tournament as part of "Team Axis" along with Axis and Civ:A. The team placed 2nd in the overall ranking.
