Opera GX is a special version of the Opera web browser built specifically for gamers. They have a mascot named "Aura". Aura's Twitter account was created on October 2022.

On 5 April 2023, Opera GX held an audition for the role of Aura. On the same day, her Twitch channel was created. Aura's YouTube account was created on 30 May 2023.

On 14 June 2023, Aura's voice was revealed. Since 17 June 2023, Aura had been uploading short song covers on TikTok and YouTube.

On 13 August 2023, Opera GX announced that Aura's debut stream would be set for 19 August on Twitch.

On 19 August 2023, Aura debuted 2023 on Twitch channel, she also released her first official solo cover song "KICKBACK" on the same day.
