Rin Penrose

Rin is a mature person for whom elegance (but also money) matters a lot. Thus, she often puts in relief that her viewers must behave making honor to her by various fancy requests. Her genmate Fuyo Cloverfield refers to her as a tsundere. She is regularly taken as a clown by everyone else, even her genmates, due to both her behavior and her strong British accent. Rin resorts to sarcasm to make her discourse dynamic. Moreover, high speech speed is a trait put in relief in her YouTube shorts.

Due to her reputation, she lacks authority over her chat. Once, it led to one of her streams, initially planned to be an announcement stream, being interrupted continuously by the donation notification sound for 45 minutes. Then this stream turned, with the approbation of her manager, into one where she had to discuss with her mother.

She is used to exposing her extravagant hobbies and opinions. For example, Rin likes talking a lot about her shark plushies she buys at Ikea. Rin also proudly extols she bases her streaming strategy not on doing her best, but making things as bad as possible, so she can distinguish herself from other streamers. Rin is a self-admitted girl failure who, despite being an adult, is unable to do basic chores like cooking or using the washing machine.

Her passion for Pikmin games is strong, and creates actual topics of conversation with a lot of her friends. She notably used this passion to become friend with Lalabell Lullaby despite the barrier language between them.

Rin has short and slightly messy hair with split coloring, the left side being black and the right side being white, with small purple strands. Her bangs go to the left side and are straight, going down to about the middle of her eye in length. A diamond-like shaped crown sits atop her head, with a repeat pattern of having a blue gem in it and not. She has heterochromatic eyes, her left eye as red and the right eye as blue. She has a dull reddish droop earring on her right ear, the shape being similar to a four petal flower.

She wears a white collared blouse with mid-length sleeves, with a magenta gem brooch at the collar with purple ribbons attached to it. There seems to be a black undershirt aswell, as theres a black high neck collar peeking out underneath the blouse.

She wears a dark gray cavalier shoulder cape, with a vest like low-notched lapel. The front is decorated in enamel pins, with gold chains that go around the back with a chainette tassel. It has a royal shoulder pad with gold tassels, with a purple ribbon with four pointed stars hanging off it. The inside of the cape is a light magenta color. She wears thin white gloves, the hand being pure white while the arm part has a floral-like pattern, and she wears a ring on both of her pointer fingers.

She wears high waisted black shorts with slits on both sides to reveal a white frilly design beneath. She has a gold belt with another ribbon attached to it, this ribbon being white with purple stripes on the sides and gold four pointed stars in the middle.

She has skintight black thigh-highs with a garter on her left leg, the left thigh-high being up to the middle of the thigh while the right one goes just above her knee. She wears black boots with a white diamond-like shape in the middle and a gold trim.

Rin Penrose's YouTube channel was created on 13 August 2022. Her Twitter account was created in October of 2022.

On 20 November 2022, Rin debuted. After the stream, she released her first original song "Golden Age".

• She calls her subjects "Princedom."

• During her debut stream, when it was supposed to start by exposing her lore, Rin just pulled out a parody of the Evangelion anime opening without any clarification.
• At around 22 minutes into her debut stream, Rin begins having “technical issues.” The stream begins to have a glitching effect, and we are greeted with a visual-novel-style video involving Rin, and two other characters named Bridgette and Mea. They discuss a Princess, a Demon King, and how Rin’s channel is part of a government conspiracy. Not much information is given.
• Rin owns a sword named Clarent, which she claims was given to her as an important responsibility.

• She likes money, power, the Oxford comma, her family, IKEA sharks, Club Penguin, and Nintendo games.
• She dislikes most foods, ice cubes in drinks, people who put things everyone dislikes in their dislikes list, spiders, and being called a princess.
• Her least favorite number is 3, as it has too many curves. This is ironic, as she was the third to debut in her generation.
• Rin is very fond of Ikea shark plushies, owning five at the time of her debut. Months later, the total rose to nine: Nibbles, Finley, Terry, Puddles, Mako, Castor, Pollux, Apollo, and Justice. 2 more were then added, known as Syrup and Neptune (both chosen by the audience), bringing the number up to eleven.
• Rin is a vocal supporter of Skrunkly, with the creature appearing multiple times across streams.

• Rin has often referred to herself by different pronouns which has caused confusion regarding her gender amongst her fanbase. She clarified that her pronouns are "whatever is funniest for the bit". * She holds out her littlest finger when she holds teacups and glasses. She says it is due to an injury in her youth. * She can move her ears. * Her go-to McDonalds order is the Fillet o' Fish with only the fish. * Rin was scouted to join idol. * Her TV is named Jason. * Her mother is officially called "Gin Penrose." ** Apparently, her full name is "Regina." * Rin has a brother, officially called "Ben Penrose." * Rin went to an all-girls school. * According to her mum, Rin used to ride horses—in dresses. * In every stream, Rin inserts a new message in her waiting screen. * Rin is aroace. ** Her general color scheme to match the ace flag. This was initially a coincidence considering her design was rushed in the pre-debut process, but a fitting one. * Gin claims Rin cannot drive, doesn't drink alcohol, was unable to get a job at Tesco’s, and never does any chores. * Rin is very good at rapping. * Gin accidentally revealed Rin's age partially on a stream, although the wiki won't mention her current age. * She has been over an hour late to a stream, causing chat to fall into anarchy. * Rin's stream previews each display a unique "Rin fact", mostly jokes. ** During her Pikmin 4 "speedrun" series, it changed to "Pikmin facts." * She can either do a very good or very bad impression of Toad. * Rin likes trams and wants people to use trams when a city has them. * Rin has a younger brother with whom she wanted to collab with but eventually both her and management decided to abandon the idea since he would likely reveal sensitive information on accident. ** She eventually decided to bypass that issue by letting her brother communicate through a TTS program. * Rin and her mother ride horses. * Rin said that her mother got kicked in the face by a horse and still stood afterward. * Rin's original model shares the same character illustrator with a few other VTubers, such as Debidebi Debiru, Kataribe Tsumugu, Shirasa Ayane, and Minamo Madoka of NIJISANJI, Miyoshino Shiki of Prima Project, Hizuki Yui of Neo-Porte, Saya Sairroxs of Phase-Connect, Gigi Murin of hololive English, Tatsumaki Chise of VSPO!, and fellow independent VTuber Ayla Yew.

Rin is the self-proclaimed prince (“Not princess!”) of a kingdom in another world. Though she tries to maintain a “proper” demeanour befitting her royal heritage, her true, unfathomable personality always shines through.

As for why a prince would want to be a VTuber… It seems even the Royal Family has its secrets.
