Isla is a former member of the royal family in the frozen celestial realm of Astralis Glaciem, whose monarchs rule as the protectors and keepers of the interworld veils. As someone with an uncommonly heightened awareness of these interworld boundaries, Isla began to notice anomalies that others in the royal court were not yet perceiving. Their repeated warnings eventually came to be perceived as disruptive, and they were quietly relieved of their title and removed from the royal household.

Made to wander the fringes of their own home, Isla eventually stumbled upon an unknown and unstable interworld veil hidden deep beneath the frost and ice that the others had forgotten. Having nowhere left to be, Isla quietly made the decision and stepped through it.
