Rin is a little bit shy and stubborn, which is inherent to the 'soft toxic' element of her name. She is caring and affectionate, but can be a little chaotic at times, blending a cursed gremlin energy with that of a supportive big sister. She enjoys teasing the chins, and engaging in playful banter. She's often called a cozy streamer due to her soft spoken voice and cozy nature, creating relaxing environments for the chins that watch her, but she can occasionally become a little unhinged when energized.

Rin appears like typical Oni with two horns and a humanoid body, but equipped with translucent white flesh, her body made entirely of a soft jelly like substance. She appears otherwise humanoid, with a long black tail adorned with one of several creators tips (most commonly a metal nib) but can often be seen with any number of utensils used for different crafts and applications. Her tail is made of the ink that fills her body, and only appears to be rigid and solid, if touched, it will feel and behave as a liquid suspended in space.

Typically seen in her standard linen garb, she has been known to travel across different eras of time and space, wearing a number of different thematic outfits and tools to blend in more appropriately with her surroundings.

Rin identifies herself as an Inkubus - a mysterious monochrome oni with a fountain pen on the tip of her tail, using dark magic to create ink and to manifest living creatures from her tail and special abilities. Her origins are yet unknown, but what is known is her home is an abandoned well, deep in an unknown forest, where she sourced the dark power that she uses. She explores the overworld finding new humans to meet and teach about the things she has learned like how to use their darkness to create life.
