Kamimuto Arashi was once revered across the Shinigami Realm as the "Vermillion Tempest" for his unmatched power and ferocity. He begins as a powerful but unstable Shinigami whose emotions, especially anger, are both his greatest strength and his fatal flaw. His scythe, Ragnarok, is cursed and amplifies his negative emotions, making him exponentially stronger the more he suffers.

His closest friend was Raizen Kurohane, who was the most important person in his life and his polar opposite. Where Kamimuto was angry, Raizen was calm. Where Kamimuto was reckless, Raizen was careful. Once could say he embodied everything that the Shinigami Realm found important. For over a century, they fought side by side, their bond unbreakable. Raizen was known as the "Silent Blade" and together, they were two legendary figures in the Shinigami Realm.

But the Shinigami Council perceived him as an anomaly among Shinigami. Shinigami were meant to be detached and were made to be weapons. They sentenced Kamimuto to death in a unanimous vote, as shinigami whom break the rules don't get second chances. He was condemned, accused of threatening the balance of life and death, and told that his existence was a crime.

The execution order utterly shattered him. He had served the council loyally for centuries and was used as a weapon. Yet he was discarded the moment he became inconvenient. This revelation triggered a complete psychological collapse, and he lost control in a moment of fury and heartbreak. He slaughtered everyone in the council chamber, including the innocents that were present. This is the moment that earned him the title "The Fallen Shinigami."

Raizen arrives at the massacre, horrified. He reveals that he had known about the execution order and had warned the council that Kamimuto would have lost control. Raizen prepared for battle, informing Kamimuto that he would carry out the sentence himself. This is the deepest wound Kamimuto had ever suffered.

The two clashed in a devastating battle that shook the entire realm. It was here that Kamimuto reached his breaking point and Ragnarok was truly awakened. He won - but when he was about to finish Raizen, memories of their friendship stopped him. Raizen died in his arms, apologizing and telling him to live on. After he died, Kamimuto took his headband as a memento.

Having fought his way to the Portal of Crossing and reaching the human realm, his memories were ultimately fractured. He remembers killing the council, but only parts of it. He locks the worst parts of the massacre deep within his psyche. The innocents? The moment he struck Raizen down? He survives by repressing them. He doesn't want to come to terms with what he's done. He even finds Raizen's face and name fading from his memory...

He decides to become a soul dealer, harvesting and selling spirits, eventually establishing the Soul Market. It was taboo for Shinigami to sell the souls that they had reaped for personal gain. But for him, it was a final taunt at the realm that condemned him and wanted him dead. It was an open mockery of the Shinigami's sacred laws.

He had crafted a new identity. Though he still kept his foul mouth and the temper he was known for. He streamed to mortals, weaving fragments of his past into entertainment as he turned tragedy into a spectacle. His scythe, Ragnarok was his signature prop. Though sometimes, his true colors would show if he got angry enough...

Also a duelist. Uses Evil HEROs. Evil Hero Neos Lord is his partner & ace monster. A fun little game he picked up on through his tenure on earth. They were also fallen heroes whom reflected his dark, explosive personality. They fit him perfectly.
