Lily Yoshimi has never cared much for titles, though she's picked up plenty of names over the years. To some she's simply Lily, others know her as Lillian or Yoshimi, while those who've spent enough time around workshops and railways have added a few more colourful names to the list. "Midlander" comes from her love of Britain's Midland railways and engineering heritage, while "Dipstick" is a nickname she wears with good humour, a reminder that everyone makes mistakes and that there's always something new to learn.
Passionate about everything mechanical, Lily is just as comfortable discussing steam locomotives, diesel engines, and heavy machinery as she is crawling underneath one with a spanner in hand. Despite her colourful Y2K appearance, she's never afraid to get covered in grease if it means solving a problem.
She lives by a simple philosophy: the more you learn, the more you realise there is still to discover. After all, the longer one spends around railways, the more firmly convinced they become that they know very little about them. Rather than pretending to have every answer, Lily enjoys learning alongside her community, sharing discoveries, asking questions, and tackling every challenge with curiosity and a healthy dose of humility.
