On 21 August 2022, a group of upcoming Livers were teased with an image of their silhouettes on VirtuaReal's bilibili and Twitter accounts.

On 23 August 2022, VirtuaReal officially announced their seventeenth generation of Virtual Livers, including Sui, in an article accompanied by their designs and profiles. Sui made her first dynamic and released her first video, her first original song "也许明天会" (Maybe Tomorrow), on the same day.

On 29 August 2022, Sui's Weibo account was created.

On 30 August 2022, Sui made her first Weibo post. On the same day, VirtuaReal released a teaser trailer for the new Livers.

On 4 September 2022, the seventeenth wave made their debuts in a stream relay on bilibili lasting from 19:00 to 22:00 CST, Sui being the last.

• Sui's fans and fan medal tag are called "饼干岁" (Biscuit Sui). It is a play on "饼干碎" (biscuit pieces).

• Since her debut, Sui has amazed viewers with her song covers. She even wrote an original songs on her debut. She sings in Chinese, English and Japanese.
• Beside singing, Sui's main content will be free talks. In her talks her tsundere personality shines through. She often makes cute insults or show off her knowledge, but often ends up failing hilariously due to her lack of knowledge. These episodes are coined the name 岁己笑话 (Sui comedy) among viewers.

Sui's design of course was completely original. The similarity was just a coincidence.
