Temako

I'm a gamer who loves games and travel. I especially like horror, action, puzzle and simulation games. My broadcast will focus on ASMR, studying English, and games. I'm not good at speaking English, but I can read and understand English comments.

On 17 May, Temako began her debut endurance stream with a goal of achieving 10,000 YouTube subscribers, something which had never been done successfully in the past.

Not much is known about this period, since all archives relating to that stream were lost, but what is generally known is that someone in Temako's chat decided to give to her a link to a thread on 4chan in the board of /vt/ (a forum board themed around Virtual Youtubers) that had been created to discuss her. Upon seeing this link, Temako decided to visit the thread while live on stream. This massively boosted her initial popularity, as a large number of viewers from 4chan were interested in appearing on her stream, and making her say all sorts of things, mostly mean spirited, given that Temako's English proficiency wasn't sufficiently advanced for her to be able to recognize bad words or slurs. Roughly 1000 concurrent live viewers showed up on that day, and though the number quickly went down, many of these viewers stuck with her until her eventual graduation.

On 25 May, her YouTube channel reached 3,000 subscribers.

On 1 June, her YouTube channel reached 10,000 subscribers.

On 13 August, she started another endurance, a joint effort alongside multiple other Virtual YouTubers led by DiscoTei Meteo (with Aimura Cyan, Riinosuke, Naseba Naru, RuBi, Inukai Reol, Utai Itsumi, Hinamori Rico, and Nekotani Hanabi), initially with the goal of reaching only 114514 subscribers. She later changed her target to the goal of reaching 191919 total subscribers, a play on the fact that 191919 can be read as ikuikuiku (イクイクイク), which is a dirty joke when translated.

On 22 April, Temako uploaded her self-introduction video, which is a cover of Umitsuki Shell's VTuber self-introduction song.

On 24 May, she celebrated her 1st anniversary with a call-in stream.

On 2 November, she celebrated her YouTube channel reaching 20,000 subscribers with a commemorative stream where she unboxed her electric massage wand.

From 23 November to 25 November, she started her "20k Subscribers Commemorative Project" (２万人記念企画), a series of call-in streams where anyone can call-in.

On 11 January, Temako announced her decision to retire on 9 February.

Without citing a reason why, many of her English-speaking viewers speculated on 4chan that she either had run out of money to support her streaming activities after some bad investments in cryptocurrency, as well as due to having bought a $10,000 ASMR microphone (Neumann KU100) without having the means to pay for it, and had to resort to prostitution, or that she had gotten pregnant from an unknown source (likely a man).

On 13 January, Temako herself would address these rumors, expressing disbelief at the kind of rumors generated by announcing her retirement, while posting her rebuttals to the rumors in the replies.

On 9 February, Temako held her graduation stream and retired.

On 14 November, Temako came out of retirement with a re-debut stream, where she debuted her new model designed by Nyori (same designer as Moona Hoshinova from hololive ID), after a long period of silence (roughly two and a half years). It was revealed that her official reason for graduating in 2023 was due to the health of a family member.

She is currently active, with an average of 2-3 streams per week, as well as 1 membership stream per month. Her content is considerably less lewd when compared to her past self, though she still treads the line between safe and not safe very often.

On 13 February, Temako's YouTube channel reached 30,000 subscribers.

• Her fans are called KBNS / "Kabinasu" (lit. moldy eggplant).
• On 19 May 2021, during her debut stream, Temako decided to show an image of an eggplant that had grown to be moldy whilst looking for something to eat. The exact details have been lost to time, but the fanbase quickly adopted it as the official Temako mascot for unknown reasons, and thus the name Kabinasu was decided as the fan name for her fanbase.

• "My name is class representative Temanko. Alright, everyone together now. Ready, go! Class rep Temanko! Your voices are too low. One more time, everyone! Okay? I want everyone to say "class rep Temanko with a loud voice, okay? Alright, one more time? Class rep Temanko!" (During her My Voice Zoo stream. Manko in Japanese is a dirty word, and thus Temanko is a dirty play on her name.)

• "Kontema~!" (こんてまー) is her official stream greeting, whilst "Otsutema" (おつてまー) is her stream ending catchphrase.
• "Chinpo!" is a word often said by Temako.

• Not much is known about Temako's history. Many of her fans speculate that she is a failed JAV idol who, after finding no success in the business, decided to try out being a Virtual YouTuber. However, the basis of these rumors is unfounded.
• Temako's body is extremely thin, to the point where fans worry if she is eating enough food. Many fans speculated that she was too poor to afford a proper meal, but after her re-debut, knowing that her financial situation isn't bad, her poor diet is likely by choice.
