Personality
Being a visitor from outer space in the future, Iku is very curious about the culture of people from Earth. She is kind to her audience and often interacts with them. She can act like a tsundere and a bit needy at times. She likes calm games because she likes to relax with them (Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Minecraft)
She likes to sing and streams singing broadcasts very often. Sometimes, however, she fails to keep up the pressure, causing her to burst out laughing.
Her catchphrase is Furifuri~. She likes to use it to greet/farewell her audience at the start/end of the stream. She gives out chus at the end of every stream too.
She dislikes mushrooms to the point she (jokingly) end her stream. But the thing she dislikes the most is Alinamin V, a pharmaceutical energy drink
Appearance
Iku has the appearance of a space princess who wears a big pink-black-white skirt with star accents. The skirt is tied up with a bow above her chest. She also wears boots that match with her outfits color.
She has purple-pink eyes. She has long light pink hair which ends at the hip area. She has two bows on her head, one for each side. Both are dark blue and pink in color
Background
Iku has tweeted her first tweet on 12 January 2021. She unveiled her 2D model the following day. On 14 January, she posted her first post or Reddit, on the r/VirtualYoutubers subreddit, in which she has done her voice reveal. She debuted on 30 January on YouTube.

* Iku calls her fans "Ikumin." The name derives from a plant-animal life-form Pikmin from the game series of the same name.
* Her channel member are called "Ikuminship. The tier names as of now are called: Ikumini Tier 1, Ikumid Tier 2 and Ikumax Tier 3"
Trivia
* Iku unofficially belongs to what the VTuber fans have dubbed The Nyori Family. It is a group of VTubers that contains characters designed or modeled by Nyori. The members of the group are all friends to each other, they frequently collab with other members and they can be seen interacting with each other on Twitter. The other Nyori Family members include: Moona Hoshinova, Tsukinami Nato, Uten Hiyori, Yukine Miiya, Agata Yo, Amau Meiko, Nikki Rei, Hayate Takanashi, Tenko Sorara, Mayuno A. Charlotte, Kiyoraka Fuwari, and Temako.
* She is the third VTuber who posted in the r/VirtualYoutubers subreddit, which shares the same character designer with a hololive VTuber (the first two being Hourei Tenten and Iida Pochi)
* She hates mushrooms. This is because from the planet of her origin, mushrooms are sentient and they can crawl on walls. Due to this, Iku refuses to eat mushrooms.
* Despite the information being classified, Iku has shared some minor information about her home planet. The planet has a purple-pink ring and has humans that live longer and age slower.
* She grows an Earth plant which she calls Furiberry. From time to time, she posts on her Twitter Furiberry growing progress. Sadly as Iku was on a trip, Furiberry died. Furiberry will be in OG Ikumins hearts forvever.
* Despite being older than Earth people, she wants to be treated like your "imouto" (little sister).
* She has poor eyesight, therefore she wears contact lenses.
* She has three cats named Venus, Jupiter and Pluto. Sadly Jupiter and Pluto both passed away and are dearly missed by Iku, her family and Ikumin
* Her biggest VTuber inspiration was Pinky Pop Hepburn.
* Her dad looks like Armstrong from Full Metal Alchemist and her mom looks like Lisa Lisa from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and is very beautiful and extroverted.

* Following the dissolution announcement of PRISM, Iku requested FalseEyeD to bring back his old robot VTuber model for their dedicated TVS episode, which False accepted.

In a galaxy, many light years away.
There once was a lonely girl on a lonely planet.
The lonely girl would look upon a tiny blue planet from afar.

But one day, the people of Earth had given up on their love and passions.

She thought about how she could help the blue planet restore its sparkle...

Just like the rest of the PRISM Project members, Hoshifuri Iku is a special agent from the year 2120, which has been sent back to the past to prevent the threat of humans losing interest and passion for others.
2021
On 7 February, she hosted the first PRISM Project collaboration stream on her channel, which was also the first stream in which she played a game. Her guests were her genmates, Tokimori Aoi and Ibuki Meno in game "Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes".
On 8 February, she did her first karaoke stream.
On 27 February, she streamed her first Indonesian language learning study stream.
On 8 March, she celebrated her monetization, which allowed her viewers to send superchats to her.
On 27 March, she did her first horror and endurance stream. She played "Dreadout" and the goal was to finish the game in one sitting or achieving 10k subscribers first. After over 8 hours of streaming, she finished the game first. She managed to reach 10k subscribers the next day on her collab stream with her genmates. She celebrated her goal by doing a singing stream.
On 15 May, Iku announced her collaboration with KODOMOi on her first original song, "Isshoni. She announced that KODOMOi would compose the music while she would write and sing the lyrics. The song was released on 30 May.
On 4 June, she opened her channel membership feature.
On 30 September, during her birthday countdown stream, she announced her new original song "Your Princess."
2022
On 29 January, Iku celebrated her one year anniversary. She also released her new cover song "Yuki no Hana" by Nakashima Mika.
On 31 January, PRISM Project announced that for some reason, Iku was unable to use her Twitter account.
On 2 February, after 5 days (since 28 January) Iku was able to use Twitter again.
On 30 May, she uploaded a music video of her original song "Happy to Call You Mine (The Ikumin Song)", the song was made by her and Ikumins (her fans).
On 28 July, she reached 50,000 subscribers on YouTube.
On 12 September, during a stream, Iku announced that she would collaborate with Circus Pircus on a new original song.
On 18 September, Iku and Circus Pircus released their original song "Artificial." At the after party she called Circus Pircus "Surface P". Ikumin now only call Circus by this name from now on.
2023
On 19 February, Iku released her third original song "PRISM no You ni" and her first album "Cloud 19."
On 26 February, she released her fourth original song "blue green."
On 23 March, PRISM Project announced that all three members of their first generation would be getting new outfits.
On 3 September, Iku debuted her second outfit. While debutting, she called her new companion (whos real name is Cirro) Cereal. Ikumin love to bring this up as a joke to this day.
Dissolving
On 2 March 2024, PRISM Project announced they would cease their activities at the end of the month, and let all remaining talents the chance to keep their character IPs. Iku confirmed she will become independent.
On 23 June, Cosmia held their first collab stream as indie vtubers. During the stream, the group announced the opening of an official Cosmia Discord server.

* For the third month anniversary of Generation 1 of PRISM Project, Iku and her genmates, Aoi and Meno, hosted the "PRISM no Museum" project. For this project, the PRISMers could submit artwork of the PRISM 1st Generation with the theme of the PRISM Project logo so that their work could later appear in a "Mirai no Museum" cover music video. The cover music video was released on 1 May 2021. It is also the first cover video, in which Iku has participated.
* On 10 February 2022, Iku confirmed that she would be appearing as a guest on Kizuna Ai the last live "hello, world 2022" on 26 February. "hello, world 2022" was Kizuna Ai's last live before an indefinite hiatus.
* On 16 April 2022, OffKai Expo's Twitter account announced that Hoshifuri Iku, and many VTubers would appear in "OffKai Expo" which would be held from 29 April to 1 May as guests.
