Itsumi has purplish gray hair with black highlights. Her long hair turns pink at the tips. Her eyes have blue irises with a purple pupil, but the left eye is typically covered by her hair. She has a beauty mark under her right eye.
On her original design, she has a black headband with a small black-purple crown off-center to her right. On her body she has a gray-black dress with a black corset at her midsection, and a wire-frame skirt with a fabric that turns from black to completely transparent at the thigh level. On her legs she has a pair of thigh high stockings held up by black garters and black shoes on her feet. The right side of her outfit has a black and blue diamond argyle pattern to it.

On 26 April, Itsumi premiered her debut video.
On 2 May, she did her first livestream on YouTube, a gameplay stream of the horror game Dark Deception.
On 12 May, she uploaded her first cover, a cover of the song Umakoshi wa Kirawareteiru (馬越は嫌われている, Umakoshi is Hated) which prominently featured her favorite VTuber Umakoshi Kentarou in the visuals.
On 4 August, she premiered a parody song cover of the "Bust-size Fortune Telling Song" (バスト占いのうた) by KawaiiCats!Wow!!, titled Vtuber Cup Size Fortune Telling Song, featuring Utai Azumi on main vocals and 11 other female VTubers (Hinokuma Ran, Minamori Hero, Tetra, Shiraume, Shishigami Leona. Amagi Ten, Asano Ruri, Utai Makea, Shirayuri Lily, Rokudo Mei and Magura Ene) on visuals.
2020
On 1 April, Itsumi streamed as a new persona for her April Fools' joke: a young boy named "Itsumi-kun".
On 11 July, she unveiled her second costume. The theme is indoors clothing.
On 18 August, her (collaboration with Utai Azumi, Yukimi Onee-chan and Hanakoto Igusa) cover of Ikenai Borderline (いけないボーダーライン, Forbidden Borderline) by Walküre premiered on Yukimi's channel.
2021
On 29 March, Itsumi unveiled her third costume. The theme is winter clothing. She likes it so much she also uploaded a short video showing it off.
On 21 August, she premiered her cover of Ano Natsu no Itsuka wa (あの夏のいつかは, Someday in that Summer) by *Luna feat. Hatsune Miku.
2022
On 22 October, Itsumi uploaded a short introductory video summarizing herself in 30 seconds.
2023
On 7 July, Itsumi premiered the original song "Ano Tenmondokei o Mezashite" (あの天文時計を目指して) as part of the music duo "Ptolemaios ~Kobe-gyuu~" (Ptolemaios ~神戸牛~) with the composer Torukaya.

On 10 March, Itsumi did a collab stream with Utai Meika and Utai Azumi (who came back from retirement), where they played R.E.P.O. together. Notably, this is the Utai Family's first collab after several years since Azumi retired (unlike the other two, Itsumi's title officially calls this an Utai Family collab). It's been so long that she remarked in her tweet that it feels like an actual first time collab featuring the three of them.

- On 25 March 2023, Itsumi participated in the VPEX Kouryuu Custom (VPEX交流カスタム) Apex tournament as part of the team "Shishimi no Misoshuru" (ししみのみそしゅる) with Shinobideshi and Syuru-kun.
- On 5 January 2025, Itsumi participated in the Mituki Custom Apex tournament as part of "Team Osanpo Gachi-zei" (チームお散歩ガチ勢, Team Walking Enthusiasts) with Sakurazuki Kanon and Ieiri Popo. Their team got 18th place overall.
Identity
- Itsumi explains that her name "Itsumi" (rarely stylized as "Itsme") is a reference to the English phrase "It's me," continuing a trend with her VTuber parent Makea/Meika, whose stylized name is a play on the English phrase "Make a (...)".
- She was introduced to her VTuber parent Makea's IRL mother as her "granddaughter" through a prank.
- She created the character "Utai Koushi," who is a hamster with Itsumi's styling details, for reading Marshmallow Q&A entries sent to her by viewers.
- She also created her little boy persona "Itsumi-kun" as an April Fools' joke: it took her around half a month to create the upper half of his model. The waist part was completed with the help of the Live2d modeller Megumegumegumin.
