YaGurlShelly

YaGurlShelly is incredibly cheerful, always striving to entertain her chat as best as possible. She strikes a balance between being "seiso" and openly lewd with her chat. She is known to talk seriously about her feelings and vibe with her viewers at one moment, and then immediately pivot to making dirty jokes, discussing sexual preferences, kinks, and other "unseiso" things. Shelly describes herself as introverted when not broadcasting. During broadcasts, she shows a high amount of energy and community engagement, often pausing her work in order to talk more with chat. She strives to read every message, greet every new chatter, and respond to every question. This makes for a friendly and warm environment, even if she does openly complain that she works a lot slower on stream.

On 5 June 2018, YaGurlShelly began streaming. She originally began as a face-cam streamer.

• YaGurlShelly does not want to be called "mommy" by her chat. She prefers to be called "dad" instead. There is an active roleplay with her community: YaGurlShelly is the virginal father of everyone in chat by adoption, who she refers to as her "toddlers." Shelly and chat live in a large house, but money is tight and food is in short supply. As such, Shelly's "toddlers" eat crayons. Chat is able to redeem channel points to "lock themselves in the basement." The user who redeems points is timed-out for ten minutes, and if they don't return to chat after the time-out expires, they are considered to have died in the basement to an unknown creature. Shelly will occasionally perform "feeding time," in which she pretends to regurgitate food like a bird in order to feed her chat. See
• YaGurlShelly's original model is based off a self-designed original character named Lio. This model is a half-body model without legs. The character has been described by Shelly as a "goat girl" with "gremlin energy." Shelly has stated on stream that she retired this model because she felt that its child-like appearance did not accurately represent her personality and caused discomfort during adult-themed conversations. There was also at least one incident in which a viewer acted "extremely inappropriately" towards the model.
• YaGurlShelly's second and current model is based off of a self-designed original character named Lavia. The character is an adult succubus. This model was designed by Oppose Artworks, created by Yoclesh, and rigged by Iron Vertex.

• YaGurlShelly loves McDonald’s. especially chicken nuggets. Her donation notification references the "nuggies" she will be able to purchase with the money.
• Shelly loves card games, especially Uno.
• Shelly is an avid anime watcher, with her favorites including Hunter x Hunter, Seven Deadly Sins, Code Geass, Chainsaw Man, and Kaichou Wa Maid-sama.
• YaGurlShelly has recently begun playing League of Legends, but she does not broadcast her games.

• YaGurlShelly's did not attend an art school. Her art style is self-taught. Her favorite thing to draw in her works are the eyes on characters. She describes her technique for drawing them as "tktktk," forming the eye out of many tiny lines. The results are very distinct, and the eyes are considered the signature of her work.
• YaGurlShelly voiced all of the alerts for her stream.
• She is bad at ending streams and doesn't like saying goodbye, which is why she usually says: "you know what time it is, it's time to sadly say goodbye" followed by a short sentence like "as always, I love you and blablabla" to then end stream rather quickly because otherwise she would stream another hour.
• Shelly has two cats, Mochi and Pipo. During facecam streams, they are often featured heavily. Mochi and Pipo do not get along well, and Shelly often has to break up fights.
• YaGurlShelly speaks multiple languages: English and German fluently, and basic Thai. After being featured on the YouTube Channel VTubers Legendadas, YaGurlShelly's stream experienced a large influx of Brazilian viewers. Shelly has begun teaching herself Portuguese in order to better interact with her new non-English following.
• Shelly's chat tends to bully her. She is often jokingly accused of being a furry, having a foot-fetish, and being a "bottom." Shelly takes the bullying in stride, often returning the bullying to specific active chatters.
