The humans feared the monsters for their incredible magic abilities and often ferocious appearances, and the monsters resented the humans for their adaptability and physical fortitude. Outnumbered and with less sophisticated technologies, the monsters of the past fled your world, creating a new one more to their liking and comfort. It seemed like the human realm and the monster realm were destined to remain apart for all eternity...

But of course, that’s all ancient history! Nowadays, things have cooled down a lot between humans and monsters! Through a clever image rebrand, monsters have infiltrated human society once again through their appearances in popular anime, games, and movies! Monsters are TOTALLY IN right now!

As the eldest daughter and heiress to the Darkfire Legacy, Arly Darkfire showed incredible promise at a young age. Gifted with the superior stats of a Black Opal Dragon, skilled in dark magycks, trained in the monstermanities, and equipped with an array of dastardly skills, it seemed like Arly was ashooin' to make her family proud. That is, of course, until she struck out on her own. Arly moved to the human realm to find her fortune. Instead, she found the realities of adulthood. With nowhere near as much structure as her old life, tons of free time, and unlimited access to the internet, Arly was helpless against the vices of humanity: all she wanted to do was watch anime, eat snacks, and play video games!

It wasn’t long until Arly ran through her funds and had to slink back to the much more affordable monster realm. Faced with the realities of an almost empty bank account, an anemic resume, and the shame of failure, Arly finds herself unable to face her own family! Now Arly spends her days scheming her "comeback,", falsifying evidence of her own success, and streaming on the internet in a last-ditch effort to influence the human realm. What a pickle!
