She calls herself "neat and clean" but it is different from the original meaning, for Siro is good at playing PUBG and while playing, she sometimes says terrible comments as if she were a soldier or a combat mania. In addition, Siro is very good at speaking English, as she studied it.

She is also funny in her videos. She loves to dance and talk tenderly in her videos. Beluga is her famous symbol. Her laughing voice is similar to the sound of dolphins (イルカ iruka). She is called "White dolphin" (シロイルカ Shiro Iruka) namely Beluga. Virtual YouTubers tend to have their own greeting phrases; in her case, she says "Konnichiwa. Siro desu." (Hello. I'm Siro.)

Siro was originally a character from an unreleased mobile game titled Shojo Heiki Taisen (少女兵器大戦, lit. Girl's Weapon Wars) by App Land Inc. She made appearances on the mobile game's official Twitter.

Her YouTube channel was created on 23 June 2017, and her Twitter account was created in the same month.

Siro posted her first video on 28 June 2017. The video was a dancing video and did not yet feature her voice.

2017

On 12 August, she made her original introduction video.

On 14 December, she held her first livestream on YouTube.

On 25 December, Siro was responsible for a VTuber event later known as the Christmas Miracle. Siro postponed a highly anticipated stream due to technical issues, and directed her audience to other VTubers, including the then relatively unknown hololive member Tokino Sora. Sora's channel grew from around 1,000 to around 3,000 subscribers by the end of the stream, and around 10,000 by the end of the year. Upon her return, Siro held her first collab with Virtual Noja Loli Kitsunemusume Youtuber Ojisan.

On 29 December, she reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube. This marked the end of a lull in growth, and the beginning of the Virtual YouTube boom.

2018

On 16 March, it was clarified that her official name is Dennou Shojo Siro, not (as previously suggested by her YouTube channel name) Dennou Shoujo YouTuber Siro. This was followed on 3 April by changing her channel name from "電脳少女YouTuber シロ Siro" to "Siro Channel," partly in order to make it easier for foreign viewers to find.

On 17 May, she reached 460,000 subscribers on YouTube. This figure was celebrated since "46" in Japanese can be read "siro."

On 6 July, she reached 500,000 subscribers on YouTube.

2019

On 6 March, she released her first song, "Ai ga Tarinai."

On 14 March, she appeared as a guest on LUNA TV. This was her first collab with Kaguya Luna, the only member of the Four Heavenly Kings that she had not yet had a one-on-one collab with.

On 12 August, she celebrated her second birthday. She received a completely updated model.

On 29 November, her cover of "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" included in DLC for the rhythm game Groove Coaster was posted to YouTube.

On 1 December, she became the first VTuber ever to reach 100 million total views on YouTube.

On 20 December, she showed off her new winter costume for the first time since her model upgrade.

On 25 December, she released her first photo essay, a 65,000 word book titled Cyber Rich Happiness Butter Flavor (ISBN 978-4047334069). The 96-page hardcover book, written by Siro herself, reflects on her history.

2020

On 23 January, Siro posted her 1,000th video.

On 24 April, live broadcasting from the studio was resumed, with staff providing remote support. Livestreaming had been delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

On 6 July, the VTuber-only movie, Sirotsumekusa (白爪草), was announced, with Siro being revealed to play the twin protagonists, later revealed to be named Shiratsubaki Aoi and Shiratsubaki Beni. The movie was released on 19 September.

2021

On 14 April, she participated in the VAmongEarth collab, an international VTuber collaboration playing the game Among Us. The event featured Japanese streamers Kizuna AI and Higuchi Kaede and VShojo members Ironmouse, Froot, Silvervale, Veibae and Nyatasha Nyanners. Inaba Haneru was scheduled to join, but had to cancel at the last minute due to illness.

2024

On 8 March, it was announced that Siro would be one of nine .LIVE members to participate in the "Life Like a Live! 7" idol show. She performed on Sunday alongside Mokota Mememe.
