Background
LStype Hatsune Miku was the creation of Lente, a Hatsune Miku fan, and Spectacler, an MMD artist. Lente is credited as video staff, while Spectacler is credited with the voice, which is based on Hatsune Miku. The project was inspired by Kizuna AI and Mirai Akari. The name LS is presumably the initials of the creators' names.
The LStypeMiku YouTube channel was created on 14 May 2018.
On 22 February 2019, Miku posted her debut video on YouTube. The initial 3D model used is the Hatsune Miku Append model by Tda, which is animated using Playanimaker.

2019
On 19 March, the channel featured its first Lente Channel News segment, featuring a newsreader voiced by @tugi_sab (月狐). The video was later set to unlisted, presumable to focus the channel on Hatsune Miku.
On 21 April, she released her first cover song, Reverse Universe.
On 13 June, she joined Twitter and made her first tweet.
On 26 July, she began using the Sour-type model by @Sourxuan905. Voice was now provided by PSGOZ (@psgozmiku). Later videos would vary between models.
2020
On 22 May, she released her original song 39 First Dates, by PSGOZ.
On 19 June she posted her popular video, Actually.... Vocalo! I quit~! /Vtuber Hatsune Miku NT, discussing the new Hatsune Miku NT (New Type) with assistant Tohoku Kiritan. The topic was that since the NT software was not based on Yamaha's Vocaloid software, she is technically not a Vocaloid any more.
On 17 August, she posted her video Sorry. Actually, I have turned into Hatsune Miku AI, announcing the debut of an AI Hatsune Miku in collaboration with ASB Craft. The project featured AI-powered Twitter, referred to as an Unreal YouTuber. Progress was discussed in a second video on 29 August. Videos on AI Hatsune Miku were later set to unlisted.
On 31 August, celebrating Miku's birthday, she posted her final music video, an original MV for Hello, Summer, Goodbye. This would be her last video before a lengthy hiatus.
Retirement
On 21 January, the channel posted its final video, The Hatsune Miku of the past is gone. The video is a pessimistic view of the state of Vocaloid and Niconico fan creator culture compared to its heyday, and conversely how huge Miku is at live events. The video was intended to have been released in 2020, but had not been posted.
At some point after this, the final video was set to unlisted. As of 2025, all Twitter posts prior to the final video announcement are gone, as are the AI Hatsune Miku videos.
