On 1 May, the upcoming Livers were teased on the VirtuaReal bilibili and Twitter accounts with an image of their silhouettes.
On 2 May, VirtuaReal officially announced their thirteenth generation of Virtual Livers, including Joi, in an article accompanied by their designs and profiles. Joi released her first video since joining VirtuaReal on the same day.
On 9 May, the thirteenth wave made their debuts in a stream relay on bilibili lasting from 19:00 to 23:00 CST, Joi being the second.
Later on 23 May, a video featuring highlights of their debut streams, presented by iiivan from Xue Feng Jun Tuan, was released on bilibili's official virtual streamer channel.
On 8 August, Joi reached 100 captains (i.e. members) on her bilibili channel and was entered into bilibili's hall of fame with the achievement "百人舰队" (Hundred-Man Fleet).
