On 6 April 2022, Neppie made her first stream and on 5 July of the same year Neppie made her 1.0 debut stream.
Fans
Neppie's fans are called Straightfaces (casually referred to as "sfs") and are portrayed as small round balls with bunny ears. The generic Straightface is of a creamy yellow color with a straight face expression but they can come in all shapes and sizes. The most common variations include different colors and lop ears instead of the usual type. Neppie has stated that Straightfaces have a dango-like texture and are filled with different fillings. They are all created by Neppie.
Neppie has, on occasion, drawn custom Straightfaces for her fans on stream in which they've got the chance to choose how they wanted to be portrayed.
Likes and dislikes

- Her favorite game genres are JRPG, as well as retro and niche games.

- Neppie has released three main models, each usually referred to by its version number. The current model is referred to as 3.0.
- Neppie has a mole on the left side of her mouth.
- She is known to "bait" her viewers by pretending to want to say something but then not say anything. When she does, she usually starts by saying "Guys...", which triggers her viewers to respond with "Nep". If she then stays silent without saying anything, her viewers post the nepuBait emote which portrays Neppie catching a Straightface with a fishing rod. She sometimes stays silent unintentionally though and sometimes even forgets that she wanted to say anything. This variant too has become a community meme, where her fans joke about her suffering from dementia.
- Neppie usually has an animated gif of a spinning rat in the corner of her streams. This rat is called Table and she says he is there spinning for good vibes. In lore and drawings he is usually depicted wearing round glasses.
- Neppie owns a female pet rabbit named Lyna who she talks and posts about. She is sometimes also featured on stream, often heard in the background. Lyna is named after the NPC of the same name from the Shadowbringers expansion of Final Fantasy 14.

Name
- Contrary to what you might think, Neppie's name is not inspired by Hyperdimension Neptunia.
2.0
This part of Neppie's lore was shown off during the debut of her 2.0 model. The lore was shown in the form of a short video with narration, with the first part giving an overall background:
"'Many years ago, a party of brave warriors went out to crush a major threat to our lands. A horrible beast, terrorizing the villagers and bringing darkness upon all. They succeeded in defeating the monster. However, when fallen the darkness did not dissipate. Instead it flooded the warriors bodies leaving them weak and frail; unable to fight against the sicknesses that plagued them. It had seemed so unfair that those who fought to protect others would lose the long life they had ahead of them so quickly; those heroic enough to step up. So villagers prayed for a medicine to hopefully save them, and thankfully they were heard. Drops of sunshine fell from the sky above down unto the heads of five unsuspecting children. The sundrops blessed the children with magic unheard of in these lands - The ability to take a soul from a sickly body and place it in a new host free of illness. At last, peace and happiness could be returned to those who lost it on the field.'"
The lore video then continues from the perspective of Neppie's 2.0 model:
"'It's been five years since I was blessed with the chance to help others. And... Though I've had many come to me, I worry I might not be the right person for the job. But the gods have their trust in me so I will try to bring a smile to their faces yet again! Oh, table! Huh... There is someone heading this way! I'll go greet them!'"
Table is the name of Neppie's pet rat. Then there is another scene where Neppie is rushing over to the individual who collapses before they reach her. Neppie tells the individual they don't have to worry anymore and can rest easy now that they've made it to her. The scene then switches again, this time to the image of a Straightface:
"'Ta da! So how do you feel? I'm sorry if you... expected more... My mana is pretty low compared to the other children. I do wonder why people even visit me instead... But I'll try my best to make you feel happy while you're here; despite your form. First I should show you around! Follow me!'"
It is thus suggested that this Neppie created Straightfaces by transferring the souls of sick or dying individuals into hosts the shape of Straightfaces.
3.0
This part of Neppie's lore was shown off during the debut of her 3.0 model. In the short lore video a lone Straightface can be seen standing before a grave when a blond haired woman wearing a red cape appears behind him. Then a flashback is shown to earlier that day, depicting her 2.0 model being executed by guillotine before a crowd, including the red caped woman. Back in present day, the 2.0 model's sunhat is put on the grave, indicating it is her grave.
The woman then asks the Straightface "do you see?" while a giant eye appears in the sky and then she says "I'll take you there". They both then travel to a house, where the woman leaves the Straightface and tells him to take care. The eye, now depicted as a small humanoid creature with long bunny ears, opens the door. Behind the creature stands Neppie's 3.0 model. For a short moment, the Straightface sees the 2.0 model from the last lore video before she turns into the 3.0 model doing the same pose. Neppie then says "Welcome home!".
The significance and role of the eye creature and what really happened is as of yet unknown. The blond haired woman with the red cape is the same woman that appeared in 1.0 model lore videos and has been named "Lion Girl" by Straightfaces as she has previously been depicted as a lion.
Katabasis
The Katabasis lore is separate from her normal lore and can be considered an alternative universe. Here, Neppie is a student of KatAcademy and a member of the idol club together with the rest of the Katabasis group. Her official Katabasis wiki entry describes her in the following way:
"'Half-awake and always in a daze, Neppie drifts through the school halls like a breeze in spring! Known for her soft voice and adorable aura, she's often found dozing in the flowerbeds or doodling in her sketchbook between classes! Her kindness and creativity have a way of inspiring everyone around her, bringing a gentle light to everyone she meets!"
In this lore Straightface is a student at the school and is said to participate in the activites of the art club and the programming club. They are depicted as a normal humanoid student but with a regular Straightface instead of a head.
