Sellirina

Over 100 years ago, a wealthy man commissioned the finest artisans skilled in woodwork, metalwork, and clockwork to fashion the most exquisite music box for his gravely ill daughter.

Sellirina was that music box.

With all the love and care used to craft me, Sellirina danced for that little girl until her eyes would no longer open.

Sellirina was then passed down through that family for many generations. Bringing joy to all their children with her dancing, just as Sellirina had for that little girl.

One night, while performing, the gears within her music box seized.

She was brought to a repair shop, but the price to fix a delicate and handcrafted item was too much for a family that's fortune had thinned over the years.

So she was tucked away into the attic with the promise that, one day, they would have her repaired.

That day never came.

As the years passed, Sellirina was consumed by sadness. The joy that she had once brought was forgotten and she was going to disappear with those memories.

Just as the darkness was about to consume her last thought, there stood a fairy.

A fairy-godparent-in-training they said. Small like her, but with a voice that could fill a room. They had heard the whispers of her heart, her wish to live and to bring joy again.

"I will bring you to life!" They announced.

And they did!

I... think?

They apologized profusely and said that this isn't what they intended. That they wanted Sellirina to be alive.

But... Sellirina did feel very much alive. She can move! She can talk! She can dance! She hasn't been this happy in so long.

A ballerina from a music box given a second chance at life after being broken and discarded. She travels to other worlds by winding the key of her music box. Though she loves to go on adventures, she must not venture too far from her music box to rest or risk turning back into a tiny statuette forever.
