Yashiro Neru

Yashiro Neru (社ねる) is a female Japanese VTuber who debuted on the 26th of May 2023. She is affiliated with SHINENGUMI (深淵組). Her fanbase is called "Shachiku (社畜)," meaning "employees." She is known for her contrast between being a “high-IQ shut-in shrine maiden” and a devoted gacha gamer who recklessly spends money on mobile games. Although... she is highly skilled at managing finances, whenever a game she likes releases a new character, outfit, or card through a gacha system, she simply cannot resist spending heavily. This “reckless spender” trait, where her gacha addiction can even leave her facing a financial crisis, has become one of her biggest sources of comedy and contrast. She often livestreams with a soothing, magnetic voice that can range from a mature big-sister tone to a cute little-girl voice. She is extremely gentle and caring when interacting with her fans. Her performance in roleplay voice content, such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day special voice recordings, is particularly immersive, showcasing a wide range of vocal charms, including tsundere, yandere, and childhood-friend personas. In addition to alcohol streams, late-night streams, and drinking and chatting with her fans, she is also a highly dedicated gamer who excels at shooting games such as VALORANT and other tactical shooters. During intense ranked matches, she often bursts into unexpectedly loud screams and passionate reactions, creating a lively and entertaining streaming atmosphere. As a member of SHINENGUMI, she is very attentive to her Chinese-speaking fans and frequently hosts Chinese-learning streams. She has even explored Taiwan’s unique “auntie meme image” culture during her livestreams, helping her connect more closely with viewers from Taiwan. Show more
