Amami Ami, also known as the Frog Idol VTuber, debuted in April 2023 as part of PRISM Project's fifth generation and later revealed to be an alternate persona of Phoebe Chan. She streams in English, focusing on free-talk sessions, gaming, and her idol activities like singing and voice acting. Background
Ami, together with the rest of PRISM Project's 5th Generation, was revealed on 22 April 2023. On the same day, Ami tweeted her first tweet on her Twitter account. She debuted on 29 April.
Mascot and fans
- Ami's frog "hat" is actually a living being and her mascot. It's name is Eru.
- Ami calls her fans Frogchamps. It is a reference to the Twitch emote "PogChamp."

On 2 March 2024, PRISM Project announced they would cease their activities at the end of the month, and let all remaining talents the chance to keep their character IPs. Ami confirmed she will become independent.
On 3 April, during her birthday stream, Ami revealed she is the alternate persona of the idol/VTuber Phoebe Chan, who was acting as her fairy godmother in lore. She also stated that she would be streaming on both accounts.
Hiatus
On 4 April, Ami announced that she is going on an indefinite hiatus starting 27 April. Ami gave her reasons as the difficulty juggling streaming as two VTubers in addition to her live performances. It was sugested that she may occasionally make cameo appearances as Amami Ami, and reassured viewers that it was not a graduation, just a hibernation.
On 27 April, she held a livestream titled "【Indefinite Hiatus Sendoff】Froggy Will Be Hibernating..." She also released a video described as her Final Cover, performing the Fujii Kaze song Kaerou.
As Phoebe, she would go on to form the virtual idol group Densetsu.EXE alongside Mint Fantôme and Victoria Roman, and perform at various live events and collaborations alongside such prominent VTubers as Ironmouse, Kou Mariya and Nimi Nightmare; the groups Prima Project and BEASTIEZ; and performers DEMONDICE and Keekihime.
