On 26 August 2023, VirtuaReal announced their twentieth generation of Virtual Livers, including Garu, in an article accompanied by their designs and profiles. The article focuses on Kismet, the female part of the generation. She uploaded her first video on the same day. At the end of the video, it was announced that she would debut on 3 September.
