Personality
Compared to her VOMS colleagues, Monoe appears calm and no-nonsense. However, this often just applies to her Minecraft collaboration streams; in her other streams, she can get almost as excited as Pikamee and Tomoshika. This change in attitude partially stems from being socially awkward, although her good chemistry with the other VOMS members occasionally draws out her snarky and sarcastic side. As someone who gets tired easily, she often takes naps before streaming to energize herself, although she can still be seen yawning from time to time during streams.
Fans see her as the straight-thinking lady of the trio, but her love of tentacles and gaudy enthusiasm for Girls' Love media, as shown in her Valorant and Helltaker streams, reveal her to be even more bizarre in nature than her colleagues. Being a proficient otaku, Monoe is keen of researching builds and strategies in games, as exemplified by her Terraria and Minecraft streams. While not as cunning as Tomoshika, she is still quite diligent in her sandbox game activities, making her quite resourceful.
She thanks her supporting viewers and superchat donators with her catchphrase "bachi bachi". Initially, she thought of going with a wink, if not for her inability to do it, so she settled with the simpler yet still adorable alternative.
Appearance
She has short black hair with light red eyes and a headband with two magnets on each end. She has a mostly white jacket with an upward collar and grey sleeves with dark tights and white shoes with pink laces and dark soles, with pink nail polish on her hands.
Background
Monoe's Twitter account and YouTube channel were created on 7 February 2020, although she did not start her activities on YouTube until her first stream on 19 March.
Fans
- Monoe's fanbase is referred to as the "jito-min" (ジト民).
- Monoe's channel members are known as "satetsu" (砂鉄).
Trivia
- Monoe was originally planned to have the "water" attribute, but at the suggestion of Mr Fat Mask(デブマスク氏), it was decided to change it to the "magnetic" attribute, so it became known as Monoe's papa.
- She does karaoke streams frequently, and one time someone used a pizza emoticon instead the usual breadstick (which non-members tend to use instead of the lightstick emoticon), which caused her to burst out laughing. The person who used the pizza emoticon then apologized, which made her laugh harder. This lead to her fans occasionally using pizzas instead of lightsticks during her karaoke streams.
- She released her first official cover, "Telecaster B-Boy" by Surii, on 29 December 2020.
- She mentioned that she loves tentacles, particularly the ones that attack humans in order to survive and are seen as lewd, and that she owns a figure of a bunch of tentacles, saying that it is her favorite figure.
- GYARI designed the VOMS Project to specialize in video game streaming, and among its members, Monoe has proven to be the best at platformers, such as Cuphead and Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy.
- Monoe really likes playing and streaming TRPGs (tabletop role-playing games), leading to many collaboration streams with famous artists and other streamers, and she introduced her fellow VOMS members to some of these games. On the other hand, she particularly hates playing horror games because she is easily scared by them, and she will rarely play them outside of collaboration streams.
- In real life, Monoe wears glasses and contact lenses, and the goggles of her avatar are meant to represent this.
- During her 100,000 subscriber countdown, Monoe played Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy for the first time on stream, although she mentioned that she had already practiced the controls because VOMS members had wanted to play it simultaneously, but those plans fell through before their debuts. This stream lasted over 24 hours despite reaching the subscriber goal halfway through, as she wanted to finish the game in one sitting. According to playboard.co, she had the 4th highest superchat revenue in the world that day, 6 February 2021.
- Monoe's known to play multiple gacha games (i.e. Fate Grand/Order, Granblue fantasy)
- She mentioned having vaped before.
