FLOW GLOW was first teased on 6 November 2024 on hololive's Twitter account featuring ReGLOSS members.
On 7 November, on FLOW GLOW's YouTube channel a teaser was published presenting its members. Shortly after a teaser video was published in each member's channel. Niko also made her first tweet on this date. Her YouTube channel was created on 1 August 2024.
Niko debuted on 9 November, reaching 100,000 subscribers. She also released her first cover of the song "Shikairo Days."

- Formerly they were known as "25P" (Nikopi), however due to its similarity to Sakura Miko's 35P in pronunciation, she changed it.

2024
On 10 November, she reached 200,000 YouTube subscribers. However, an automated YouTube subscriber cull affected subsequently deleted around 15,000 subscribers from each member of FLOW GLOW. Niko reached the 200,000 subscriber milestone again on the same day. On 11 November, each FLOW GLOW member lost around 60,000 followers in another YouTube subscriber cull.
Niko reached the 200,000 subscribers again on 13 November.
On 23 November, Niko enabled Super Chat feature on her YouTube channel.
On 16 December, she reached 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel during an endurance karaoke stream.

On 14 March, FLOW GLOW released their second original song "24K GOLD."

On 9 August, Niko reached 500,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, making her the first FLOW GLOW member and the 68th hololive member to reach the milestone.

2026
On 2 January, Niko debuted her new year 2D costume. Niko uses shorter hair with buns that resemble tiger ears. Niko wears a off the shoulders black kimono with black, turtle neck fitted shirt underneat. The kimono has the print of a tiger near clouds. Niko has black boots. She can also wear a white, tiger's stripes-like keep in place with a chain.
On 7 February, she reached 600,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
On 9 March, hololive announced that Niko would be taking a hiatus to recover her health due to an adjustment disorder. Previously, she had also reduced the frequency of activities after her beloved cat passed away.

- Her surname Koganei is written 「虎金妃」, with unusual readings of the kanji for "tiger," "gold," and "empress." "Kogane" means gold-colored.
- Her given name Niko「笑虎」 is written with the kanji for "laugh" and "tiger." "Niko" is also Japanese onomatopoeia for smiling or laughing.
- Niko's first and last name both contain the kanji「虎」, which means "tiger". Her jacket is decorated with three tigers, her hair and clothing colors alternate between yellow-black. She even used quite a lot of tiger images in her debut stream.
