On 28 February, she held an online live concert named MaiR: Shout My Live where she unveiled her new 3D visuals and announced a name change from "Hoshino Mea" to "MaiR" for all her activities as an artist. Along with her name change, her creator team was also rebranded from "Yumemizaka Academy" to "ALIVE MUSIX".
On 29 February, she released her first single under her new name, Shout My Life.
2023
On 26 March, MaiR debuted her new outfit.

- On 31 March 2022, MaiR collaborated with BS Fuji TV station and appeared on TV in the single episode anime Suisei no Freyline: Prologue as herself alongside four other VTubers (AZKi, Kuramochi Kyoko, Asano Ruri, and Ginga Alice). The following day, 1 April, BS Fuji uploaded the anime on their YouTube channel.
