On 16 November 2020, the VirtuaReal bilibili account revealed Tabibito's silhouette accompanied by a teaser passage.

On 20 November 2019, VirtuaReal officially announced their sixth generation of Virtual Livers, including Tabibito, accompanied by their designs and profiles as well as an announcement trailer.

On 30 November 2019, Tabibito published his first video, a self-introduction.

On 1 December 2019, the sixth wave made their debuts on bilibili in a stream relay lasting from 19:00 to 23:00 CST, Tabibito being the third.

* EP.0 The Story Begins From Here (self-introduction): Tabibito's brain was completely blank when he woke up. He was picked up by someone from a box. The eight letters "TABIBITO" were carved on his name tag, so he decided it should be his name. This was also the first appearance of Aibo, Tabibito's alternate personality, who looks like Tabibito except with red eyes.
* EP.1 The First Move (10,000 followers commemoration special): The man who picked up Tabibito gives him the name "度人" and shows him the wonder of playing cards.
* EP.2 A Day for Him and Tabibito. (30,000 followers commemoration special): Tabibito shows Aibo the various things that make him happy.
* EP.3 Summertime Beach Dismemberment Incident (swimsuit visual reveal): Someone killed Tabibito and scattered his body parts. Aibo gathered his body parts and revived him. This was the last day him and Tabibito were together.
* EP.4 Back to the Mansion (new outfit teaser): After more than half a year had passed since Aibo's death, Tabibito has a nightmare. He meets "Creator", who appears to be him but with blue eyes. Creator claims to have created him and the entire world, and reveals that Tabibito is not who he thinks himself to be.

* EP.1 The Mansion Theater (3rd anniversary special): A story in the locked diary awoke Tabibito's memories of Creator and himself. Creator met him in his dream and told him why he had been staying away from his creations.

* After Tabibito told his character designer that he was an amnesiac, she came up with the idea of giving him a name tag to show this. Tabibito's entire storyline came from the name tag.
* As pointed out from VRF4's first anniversary promotional art, Tabibito's moles resemble small eyes when his eyes are closed.

Not long since after he was found by someone in the corners of an alleyway, Tabibito had a rough understanding of the outside world. This amnesiac who was seen by others as unlucky learned to blend into his surroundings with greatest efficiency.

He started to learn at various card shops, improving his skills and consistently studying his techniques, duelling others for the sake of food and clothing.

Tabibito understood, however, that he had to find more direct and effective means to gain information and resources. After seeking the opinion of people around him, Tabibito decided to become a streamer.
